We heard a certain yoruba black face comedian was arrested some far months back, when he came in, he said it was all a rumour, and he did it in a film to convince people,  I though maybe to make people have a mix up as to if it were real life or film.

I read Wunmi too would be acting a movie on her expirience in shit biz. How I wish all of them can come that low to do same.

Meanwhile, I still ponder on what the reaction would look like from the Nollywood Quarters. Maybe them no go talk, moreover, talkin for what? that someone was caught with a personal Pon?  Grin Grin Grin

WHEN one is caught in the act, talking more or going to court would mean more crises.

I think the reporter was right, was too busy to watch home movie to know what the name of that nollywood bad egg is. I think more are yet to be exposed.

Look at his face, his dame too fraustrated, I use to like him and his horror face before, but now, I think he like eating shit.

I still ask myself if there is anything like SHIT in this country, I mean where can one get it? can someone help with an info???

@ busygirl,

Ok, thanks for that.

@ All,

I just got this again on the said actor.

Nollywood drug suspect, whose real name is Uche Odoputa but lied to anti-narcotics operatives that he is Tochi James Peter, has said that he went into drug trafficking out of frustration.

A source at the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) told P.M.News that the star actor said during interrogation that because the movie industry is in the hands of a few people and they decide what others get, he decided to go into drug trafficking to make ends meet.

P.M.News gathered that the actor, who is currently in NDLEA's detention facility, will be charged to court soon for drug trafficking.

Odoputa was arrested last Friday, 23 March at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos while attempting to board a Virgin Atlantic plane to London.

It was gathered that he excreted about 1.336kg of cocaine after his arrest.
Aged 36 and a native of Imo State, the suspect's travel documents read Tochi James Peter.

Another side of the story from punch website:-

Actors deny colleague caught for drug trafficking

Haba! Nollywood is at it again. One day, one story. It is no longer news that another Nollywood actor, Uche Odoputa, was nabbed last week at the Murtala Muhamed Airport for alleged drug trafficking.

File
Odoputa

Life and Beat gathered that the actor was on his way to London when security operatives caught him.

Sources disclosed that the actor who had featured in a couple of Nigerian movies like Passionate Appeal, A Serious Mistake, Issakaba and Opposite Love, is still chilling at the NDLEA’s office pending his arraignment in court.

Incidentally, anybody who knows Uche know that he is ‘born again’. This is one guy who would start preaching as soon as he sighted anybody he knew.

Many believe it was frustration that led him to become ‘born again’. He went as far as going to a Bible College and becoming a personal assistant to his pastor at his church in Ogba.

Life and Beat also gathered that things have been rough with Uche in recent times, as he was no longer getting roles the way he used.

But Nollywood actors have come out to say that frustration or hard times weren’t any reason for anybody to dabble into drug trafficking.

In fact, the Actors Guild of Nigeria has denied Uche as a member of the association.

According to the president of AGN, Ejike Asiegbu, “Uche Odoputa is not a financial member of our association. He used to be an actor, but in the last four years, he has not featured in any movie. We are not happy that our name is dragged to the mire. We are responsible professionals and we do not condone such act. Very soon, we are going to issue a press statement to declare our stand on this matter.”

In his own reaction, Bob-Manuel Udokwu said he was shocked when he heard the news.

“It came as a surprise to me. I was dismayed and shocked.”

But his shock and dismay did not lead him to cast any blame on anybody.

“I try not to cast blame. His actions could have been motivated by anything. I have not spoken to him in a long while, so I can’t say what he is really into. But the thing is that this kind of thing happens in every sector. It is just that we are in the eyes of the public. Marriages crumble everyday, but once that of an actor crumbles, it makes headline.”

@topic

the Nigerian movie industry is in some part finance by drug money
if y'all don't know that, then you ought to know.
actor's can be drug mules
since they have a degree of fame, its easy for them to get visas
and since they have this bit of fame, they have to have the lifestyle
that accompany fame, hence they fall "victim" to barons who promise
rich rewards for their services.

Drug trafficking is a terrible stuff to do but then *Nobody holy pass* Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed
