[please vote] Nairaland Sections that Should Be Developed more
« on: June 13, 2005, 03:25 PM »

Hello,

Nairaland, the Nigerian Forum, is a large and broad forum with 27 sections, some of which are currently receiving much more attention than the others.

In order to achieve more balance on the forum, I want to pick 5 sections out of the available 25 and really focus on them for the rest of the month, so that those sections will grow as much as the sections that are currently popular.

Which 5 sections from the poll above would you like me to focus on for the rest of the month?  Please register, login, and vote for the 5 sections of your choice.

Thank you.

Seun good day, what are you going to use the poll results for? Is this part of the commercialistion process?
Well, nice idea. Quality, instead of Quantity.

Na mi o,

I would not lock the other sections but I will spend time to look for ways to increase the activity level on the sections you choose.  This may mean posting new topics or motivating people who are interested in these topics to post more.

Mosiate,

I agree that the home page can do with a little more 'spice', since you're not the first person to mention it.  This could be dealt with when we have more money to work with.  I also agree that the entertainment section could do with more development but the reason for this poll is to see if other people feel the same way about it.

Chawkee,

The poll results are going to be used to determine which sections the administrator should focus his limited time and resources on for the next few weeks.  Your 'quality, instead of quantity' comment has been noted and will be taken seriously.

It's like attention is so much given to romance/sex matters here and as far I am concerned, it is not the best.  that is not to say, romance matters should not be talked about.

But what about improving on education, health, humours (jokes), and other educative and instructive matters?

Hope I'm not trying to upset the romeos and julliets.

"But what about improving on education, health, humours (jokes), and other educative and instructive matters?" by Eresi should have been  "I would like to start new topics on education, health, humours (jokes), and other educative and instructive matters."

My response would have been, "please, go ahead and do it!"
