I didn't see Lampards scoring goals to earn him a place among the PFA Premier League Team of the Year this season whereas Gerrard was among them. As I said earlier scoring goals is not how to weigh the quality of a player.

u'll pitch rio with toure/carragher/calvalho and u'll pick rio Huh

where's fabregas, cech, zokora, chimbonda, to mention a few ?

if u consider PFA as your "elder", sorry.
elders speak doesn't mean u shouldn't recognize wrong when u see it.
maybe i should conclude from your post; u don't make decisions from your own observations. u borrow peoples' outbursts in your summary.

Is being dumb and irrational an integral part of qualifying to be a manure fan?  Huh

If not, then why is it that you guys like making silly comments all the time.

How can someone like Ruudie or Ope-emi taunt Lampard for not appearing on the PFA list? The same PFA list that is generating controversy!  Shocked

The same PFA list that did not include Petr Cech for the silly reason that he was injured for some time during the season, when even a mugun knows that he is the best keeper in the world right now!

The PFA awards were too controversial to use for any arguments, so please use your head and shut up!  Angry

slimghost,

i'll grant u the fact that manure players are hot this season just so u'll have room to reason over issues.

is vds/rio/vidic/neville/evra the best defense line in the epl this season Huh how many goals have they let through ?
giggs/scholes/ronaldo the best midfield line Huh

the least u can do is do justice to the EPL matches u watch !

@wormed up
even though our defence might not be the best this season, you cant disagree with me that players like Vidic, Ronaldo, Rooney, Neville,Ferdio and Scholes have been excellent so far. Neville,Ferdinand,Rooney and Ronaldo have all made the team of the week many many times.
and if Ronaldo,Scholes,giggs and Carrick are not the best midfield line this season,which team has the best midfield line up?  definitely not chelsea{Ballack,Lampard,Mikel,Essien}

slim,
we are not talking about teams here !
the PFA is supposed to be a collection of the best in the epl.
they said team of the year, not week !
i checked their list and i didn't see essien, fabregas, chimbonda, carvalho, toure, no cech Huh !

and that's supposed to be a criteria for judging players' performance this season Huh
heck no !!!!!

hey wormedup razorrs,

listen up; u don't get a PFA award or in2 d PFA team 'cos of potential, u get in b'cos of your form/performance in d season under review.
Fabregas just got his 1st goal of d season against Bolton 2 or 3wks back; if i may ask what had he been doing all season long? as 4 Petr Cech, no arguments - d guy is as good a goalkeeper as any1 can bargain 4 but when u're out injured or not playin 4 1 reason or d other, how can we assess your form or grade your performance? certainly not by video tapes of past matches! wanna argue ,  look-up Drogba vs. Eto'o african footballer of d year!
& u cannot honestly say that Van Der Sar has been outstanding this season.

granted a lot of good names were left out in d cold; i personally admire Toure & Carvalho - i think they are really quality players, but only 11 can make that list & every player on that Man Utd starting 11 has been brilliant individually & as a unit - why else are do u think they are top of d log?

by d way, wormedup razorrs, lemme see your team lists - no pun intended, play PFA 4 just a sec!

hey wormedup
Quote
cech, calvalho, vidic, eboue, essien, ronaldo, fabregas, gerrard, drogba, martins, berbatov

found dis somewhere out in d crib, did u really put dis out?

lets analyse, lets see how good a TM u could be; i count 3 defenders, 4 midfielders & 3 strikers on your line-up.
Hmmm, interesting - now tell me how u intend 2 marshal your troops - how're u gonna arange 'em on d field - 'cos 4rm what i see, u've got so many likes! Huh

ruudie,
you're so quick to talk and u nail yourself while at it.

did i hear u say something relating fabregas and goals Huh
u;v been whingeing all along about lampards goals not making any sense for comparism. scholes is better because he has more goals Huh

FFS, PFA is meant to cover the whole EPL teams ! how do i make this register in your head Huh
individually, how many dead saves has VDS made compared to Cech ( even with his injury period) ?
individually, rio/vidic has been better than carvalho/toure/woodgate/carragher?
neville been better than who this season? individually ? evra Huh the PFA team is the joke of this season ! i'm sure it was intended to make us laugh !
Quote from: RuuDie on April 26, 2007, 04:43 PM

u cannot honestly say that Van Der Sar has been outstanding this season.

i agree with you totally !
what would u say about cech ? conceding 13 in 23 games with 13 clean sheets in it ?
how about reina/Jaaskeilainen ? individually u said , remember.

let's see what happens in the next few weeks. i think there'll be a lot of crap for u to swallow.

I thought 'Razorr' would come back to this thread to admit the fact that Gerard skills in the game is better than her dear boy Lampard, but it seems that the shame at which they didn't qualify for the Finals has really made her refrain from the fact.
