@Gamine, I truly believe that this is one of the best threads on Nairaland. There are a few song tracks that have really been instrumental to me over the years.
"No more drama" by Mray J Blige, served as therapy during a terrible breakup I endured a couple years ago.
"Xfactor" Lauryn Hill, is another song that has significantly touched me. Word for word, this song has done me a whole lot of good.
"We fall but we get up" by Donnie McClaukin is my spiritual tonic. This song reminds me of my carnal being and how much God loves and cares for me even when I mess up. Also the reassured me of God's forgiving grace and mercy.
Finally, Joe's "Another used to be" was dedicated to me by someone very special, and has been my uplighter since then. I go to bed smiling and wake up doing the same. Thanks to this song.
There are a few other tracks, (can't seem to recall them at this present time,) that are very close to my heart.
PS. Mohawkchi, my deepest sentiments. I lost my dad five years ago, and the wounds are still fresh. My dad was my world, the man of my dreams and I can imagine the pain you are feeeling. Try to remember all the good times you guys spent together, and use those as your motivators. Best of luck dear.
