Can A Black Couple Adopt A White Child

This has baffled me for quite a while, why is it that it is easier for a white couple  to adopt and bring up a black child  but you do not often see  black couple adopting a white child. Is it because black couples cannot provide the right enviroment to nuture a white child ?, is it a cultural issue ?.
I  believe its racial discrimination in a different guise, what do you think ?

Well if it's the ghetto life style they don't wont the "precious white angel" to follow they have failed because the ghetto culture is what the white kids are now following , they listen to the music, they wear the clothes they even use the slangs.

I believe that there are open minded black people out ther that won't mind adopting a white child its just that they face barriers. I wonder what would happen if someone like say Oprah decided to apply to adopt a white child.

It's purely economics and demographics.

There are relatively few white children up for adoption as compared to black children. Also there are more wealther whites than blacks who are able to shoulder the costs of adoptions (lawyers, social workers, agency fees , not to mention the costs of bringing up a child)
I also believe there is a certain element of white guilt at play here, wealthy white folks assuage their liberal guilt by adopting some 'poor black child' ,

Probobly this is best exemplified by Angelina Jolie and her efforts to create her own personal U.N.
