ok honsule i got a new celtel sim and tried the procedure u gave me using a friend's phone,n yes it worked! but there's a problem,it actually browsed on my friend's phone(se k700) but when i put the sim on my fone and i entered d apn: wap.ng.celtel.com, d Browser icon came up but my phone does not browse,i tried opera mini but no show.now i'm 100% sure d sim is active but i think i need to input web settings and not wap settings on my phone since has only web browser.honsule pls can u help me wit d web settings i need it very badly.thanx

u cannot use opera mini to browse with wap setting,am having the same problem.for your info the only difference between wap &web setting is d APN:internet.ng.celtel.com.i stand to be corrected.but the major issue is that,your line MUST be internet enable.read the thread under MOTOROLA C975 by skipo87.check your wap setting very well.in fact post your wap setting so that i can see whether it is correct.or better still use the web setting that Lotuken sent to your email.

@bimbor: you can try using your APN as access!wap, thats wat a friend of mine using the kind of your fone is using and his browsing with his fone.
@honsule is rigth you can only use internet gprs to for those heavy apps.
remeber setting your proxy port to 8080.

Can you believe that i have sent the text to +232, they gave me a setting but the line is not connected, WHy i said the line is not connected is because i can't see G) icon. Can you give procedure to activate only the line (My phone has the setting so no need.

try this: for the phone setting.
Access name: Access!WAP
Access point: wap.ng.celtel.com
proxy: enabled
proxy post number: 8080
ip address: 172.018.254.005
home page: wap.ng.celtel.com
after imputing this settings on your phone then activate it 4 your web.

i use a sony ericsson w810i. however, when i sent the sms, i got a reply that my device is not yet supported, how can you be of help as i have tried connecting to their CSU to no avail.

Ppl, u all wouldnt believe this ever since u all claim u stopped browsing wit your celtel line, i still do. another miracoulous thing is that i have both wap and full internet browsing. like right now i'm connected to ma pc and browsing bigtime.
