Lafile, I will only not regard you as "IGNORAMUS" only if you quote which verses in the bible that say muslim husband is hell bound and the verse in the Koran that states Christian wife is hell-bound.

You said you wonder how a muslimand Christian couple live happily together, because they probably got what you don't have, LOVE

@Aproko: but the bible says in first corinthians not to be unequally yoked in marriage with unbelievers. Marriage is a spiritual thing and i fell that being of the same faith is a good foundation for your marriage  especially for the days of crises.

Jesus accepted the tax collectors e.t.c in order to lead them to repentance, not just to be buddies with them or become one body with them.

My opinion: it is best to marry from your faith(that's what the bible teaches christians). Different denominations within true christianity is acceptable because the basis of faith is still the same but in an ideal situation you can both agree on a particular denomination to attend.

While I will not condemn it, I will NEVER encourage it. What works for one will not work for nine.

However, I will never do it for anything. It is a needless distraction.

intune, if the bible say you shouldnt be unequally yoked with unbelivers, that doesnt point in the direction of muslims as muslims are not unbelievers. The bible expressly stated unbelievers to be idol worshippers.

Muslim practice a religion called ISLAM, which is an arabic word with english literal meaning as "total submission to the will of God"

God made Abraham "the father of a great multitude" and if you do your research  well you will know that the site where Abraham was buried in Isreal is shared among 16 different religious faiths of which Christians, Muslims and Jews are among,

I have come accross many christians that will never marry a "Cele" person and these are also fellow Christians. I used to have an Igbo colleague that was disowned by his catholic father for marrying an Anglican. And also another friend that her Anglican father was actually murdered by his kinsmen for allowing her daughter to marry a Catholic, still Igbo.

Have you guys ever wondered why God allows His sunshine and rains for everyone irrespective of age, race, sex, faith or colour. If God doesnt discriminate, who the hell are you to?

Its time we let education remove the babarism in our thinking

so what? i am a muslim, my wife is a christian, we courted for 8 years and now married for 7 years. she is a born again redeemer come worker in the church. i sometime attend church with her and still practice my islam. we both remind each other of prayers. we ve got kids and we are very happy together.

my belief is religion, tribe, and language is no barrier for marriage except you are a fanatic, tribalist or a freek.

love and believe in it

My personal opinon is this: i wont marry someone of a faith different from mine, because i firmly believe in the question: can two walk together except they be agreed.
I wont say marrying the came faith is a sure walk to a lasting marriage, it helps but you still need to walk hard at it,

my dear, who is an unbeliever? having different faith does not mean you do not agree!!!!so many people are married to people that share the same faith, yet they do not agree, that is why their marriage ends in fights and messy divorces(i handle divorce cases so believe me, am talking facts).

it doesnt make sense to enter a marriage simply because 'we agree'. when the bible says can two work together unless they agree?it should not be given a literal meaning. for two people to agree my dear, it goes beyond marrying from your faith.
