Ijebus are not stingy; they just save agressively throughout the year and lavish it on 'owanbe' party at the end of the year!

I'm Ijebu and I not quite sure what to say. I used to think Ijebus were misunderstood but I think I'm wrong. I was unfortunate enough to school in Ijebu land for 4 years and all i can say is that the indegenes are wicked, they don accommodate 'foreigners'. they also seem to love money. However Ijebus that were lucky not to grow up among their kind end up very OK.

My people, na wao. This is 2007 and we still dey fight over this kind nonsense. Say one tribe dey bad and another tribe dey better. When we go learn to forget all these petty and minor ethnic kwata and learn to live life harmoniously as one naija. True talk!

Ehn? Which one is 'Ijebu-Sagamu' again? Where is it located? Is it close to Ijebu-Ife, or Ijebu-Ode or Ijebu-Igbo or Ijebu-Mushin? Sagamu is Sagamu, I beg. I stand to be corrected, but I've never heard of Ijebu-Sagamu.

Citing only the Ijebus as being stingy from the Yoruba race is quite unfair. If STINGY is the same as 'keeping all to oneself', then I think the word is applicable to the entire race.

Do you have any Ijebu friends?? Ask them what they think. And your last comment is quite cryptic. How is the word 'stingy' applicable to the entire race? Pray, do tell. We are all ears!

To be candid, it might sound so much of a stereotype but 90% of Ijebu people I've met are extremely stingy people. they wouldn't joke with a penny. I don't mean to be insulting, but a bit lousy as well. I had loads of them around me where i used to live and it wasn't palatable, because they only ask and not give
