I usually sarcastically ridicule my wife whenever I remember our wedding night; the first time I touched her, broke her hymen and painted the room red! We laugh at it and she demands that I forever buy her flowers to show that I deflowered her! The experience always make me view her as a pet that must be preserved and not hurt and which must be watered even after a two kids. Met what I expected and loved and still love it! Oh! Its not about  virginity. Sorry!

Sex is for Pleasure. Sex is for Procreation. Sex is for intimacy. Intimacy of a couple is never complete without consummating with Sex. Sex is paradoxical: it is meant to show ushow intimately God would like to be entwined within our beings. The bible uses often the clause: , and Adam knew his wife, The word KNOW is deeper than you can ever think. Everytime you have Sex (with your wife please), let it remind you that you ought to seek to have that intimacy with God your creator.

Remember, Sex is for this earth alone! Angels have no sex organs! Appetite dies out and what remains in the relationship? So, better than Sex, seek partnership that marriage offers. The abuse of Sex ires God deeply and the black man was the first to suffer a damning punishment from God for this violation of the use of Sex.

Cheers!

You painted the room red? How for do? Abeg oh, this not about virginity. Tongue Don't tempt some of us beyond what we don hear. Cheesy

I am happy for you oh. I hope I can have a story better than yours sometime soon. Wink Cheesy

But how do you mean that the balck man was the first to suffer a damning punishment from God for the violation of the use of sex? Could you please tell me?

My brother,may God help us.
I feel sorry for you men that have to keep swallowing saliva while walking down the street.
The number of girls including the morbidly obese and small small girls that hawk their wares is astounding.

If na only swallowing saliva, that alone is enough. But you have to spank the thing to behave while walking down the street. When I get into some nasty situation that tempts one for sex, I remember Joseph in the bible and how he was tempted and what he had to do to avoid it.

Ladies hawking sex is the in-thing now. But as it is, it takes two to tango. If only men can as well be responsible and reason with their head rather than their privates. Today there are loads of fatherless children who are morally depressed and theey end up being a social nuisance to the society.

May God help us, both man and woman. Embarrassed

cgift . . . interesting post.  Grin Painted the room red ke?

We used to tease a friend of ours for being a prude back in those days . . . he would respond . . . while we (well not me then) were busy running after the women in short skirts he would patiently wait for the day when he could have sex with his wife and then shout "praise the Lord" at the end of it.

Sex outside marriage is empty and riddled with guilt and self hate, don't mind all those silly men and women who smile with their lips but their hearts are burdened with the sorrow of fleshly desires met without a soul tie to follow.

Please keep resisting those daughters of delilah Grin
some of these girls are so daring.
They'll even be eyeing  and enticing a man in the presence of his wife.
My hubby just looks at me and we smile whenever we come across these obviously flirtatious heifers.

@ pilgrim 1

I hereby tender my application to be the focus of your interest Wink  Tongue

One thing I'd like to say is regarding this 'people have lost their shame' and all that. Truth is? People have simply lost their inhibitions, the heart of man is desperately wicked and selfish, like everything else, sex has simply been converted to people's own uses.

The fact we should not miss is that we live in a fallen world, sometimes I cringe when I hear Christians condemning people who have committed sins and the like - as if Christianity implies perfect people!  Shocked

Note I am not excusing sexual sin in any way shape or form, but I am a little wary of Tayo-D's statement - 'all you need to know is that sex outside marriage is wrong'. I humbly submit that is NOT ENOUGH.

That kind of information is what has fuelled rebellions among 'christian kids' for ages - all you need to know is that it is wrong. No appreciation of what sex was made for, or the dynamics and importance of waiting till marriage (a subject cgift has expounded on very well).

The truth is that most/many people will have failed in this area, what we need as Christians is to find ways to discuss these failings, not restrict discussions by keeping it 'discreet'.
We do need to create the right forum for these discussions under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, but most importantly, the redeeming power of Christ must be re-emphasized - you messed up, but its ok. Christ loves you and will redeem you regardless.

Even Christians need their minds renewed in this area- even if they have not had pre-marital sex and all that. there are many strongly held misconceptions out there - enjoying sex is wrong, unless you are having babies sex is wrong, and many more. These issues need to be discussed. Failure to do so results in us getting our information from the 'world' - TV, media, pornography, and destructive peer influences.

I know I've rambled on a bit and sound probably a little incoherent too, but I'm sure there is a message hidden within all that.

My dear been there.
The worst part was being engaged and trying to keep ourselves before saying I do.
But it's possible.
When you can't hold on anylonger,go to the courts and get a marriage license so at l east it won't be called fornication before the Church wedding.
I know some people may disagree with me.

Please find Mrs debo quick quick so you can have her for breakfast lunch and dinner

My aunt told me that story a few years ago. She and my uncle dated for 4 years . . . it was torture for them both.  Grin
The "getting a license" idea seems to be a good one.

I understand Debo's point. Its easy for the married ones here to "pontificate" about keeping oneself till marriage (i no yab una at all o) but God is able to keep those of us who are still single . . . IF WE ARE WILLING TO BE KEPT ANYWAY.

i was really amused by your comment

Sex outside marriage is empty and riddled with guilt and self hate,

Grin yes i can attest to that because i have experience it even while doing it as fornication before (not now). but i stil feel the urge but each time i remind me that iamholyofholies and gradually it comes under control because i know i am.

don't mind all those silly men and women who smile with their lips but their hearts are burdened with the sorrow of fleshly desires met without a soul tie to follow.

yes oh, i see them esp on satelite (inside edition, insider programmes on MBC 4) making you feel u missing but the more i see i see divorce confusion,  talk of brit spears etc

I find this thread very interesting because of my experience in life and in church. The holy art thou attitude makes it difficult to share one's struggles and get help without someone trying to cast out demons from you. And because of our African tradition, discussing sex is kind of a taboo.

On a serious note, the subject is such a taboo yet people are doing  it legally and illegally as we speak.
In Christendom sometimes talking about sex is like talking about the topic of one's mortality in Naija, yet people are dying.

I don't mind speaking about it, because I have had enough of the hypocrisy in church and this is one of the reasons I started my blog where I post articles and my views. You may want to have a look when you have the time. A lot of people are suffering in silence because they are ignorant about sex issues, dating, relationships and marriage issues in church. I'm not an ordained minister by I am passionate about it.
