@jogego
For my desktop theming i use the following softwares from www.kde-look.org
1. deKorator
2. Crystal dekorator
3. Vista-inspire icon theme
4. QtCurve 0.34
5. Kbfx
6. Black Kicker png(which i made myself)
7. Clock(don't know the really name but it's in www.kde-look.org)
8.Superkaramba
9.Gold icon
10.knetappdock
11.and a can of beer

Really the major work is in how i personnally use this tools to produce the effects. i shall discus them in my next post.

The dekorator is in a source code form and need to be compiled as this
untar it(uncompress it)
cd into the folder director
cd <package_name>
./configure
make
make install
to uninstall, do
make uninstall

The dekorator is like your plastic theme or lipstick theme with better effect and font end handling.

A theme for dekorator is crystal dekorator which has to be compiled too. this produce the transparent effect around windows and noticed in my window edges.

The vista-inspire icon can be downloaded from www.kde-look.org

I replace the default tool bar icons of the vista-inspire icon with the Gold icons. This can be done from your konqueror windows setting.

Kbfx replaces the default klaunch

I just upgraded KDE to 3.5.2 from 3.5.1and also did a dist-upgrade at the same time. When it was finished I noticed a new program don't know if its Kubuntu specific or KDE. Its Katapult and really wonderful.

It launches by pressing 'alt'+'space' and then you type in a program and it launches it. I have not had to go to kmenu for some time and its really time saving.

Taskbar v2 rocks!
Here is a new screenshot with the new taskbar2 functional. Had to edit the source code to disable the screenshot thumbnail animation.

sh.i.t, niggy, where do you get these mesmerizing wallpaers? i must have died an gone to bitmap heaven (LOL).

How do you get ur apps for Gnome? all the developers out there (most of em, anyway) seem KDE-inclined, and i have to trawl the net to play mp3, wma, divx (these things are not part of the FC3 distro)
