@josboy

So u are saying there is no fraud in northern nigeria?

From what i know, they don't do their own fraud outside home. They have defrauded us at home so much that the Ibos and Yorubas had no option but to go abroad

Then you need to learn to know more about what is happening my brother.

The northerners are the most honest Nigerians we have. Even abroad, they deal with you differently than the others. If you don't think so help me answer this questions please; When they were deporting Nigerians from most of this countries like Italy and the rest over prostitution, how many of this girls originated from the north? Each of this times you have been seeing and hearing of drug, human trafficking, money laundering and fraud charges committed by Nigerians home or abroad, how many of this times have your heard any Northerner involved?
Of course our Government is bad and so on but there are other worst economy than ours!
You can imagine that in Indonesia, they have up to 100,000 Rupiah note of their currency. But it ain't that bad for them if you ask them.
Northern Nigeria may be terrible in their own way but lets rather call a spade a spade!!!

Lets rather think of how we can make Nigeria better and great again!

I don't think it is fair to pick on a particular tribe, the names of people on Oprah is hardly scientific research!!
I'm Yoruba but I still think it's unfair to make such generalisations also on EFCC's most wanted list there is only one Igbo name. Lets not forget those Yoruba "odu" boys in "South East London".

Since the Yorubas are saying the Ibos are responsible for tarnishing Nigeria's image abroad, what would the northerners say. I have never heard of any Hausa man being deported for fraud. What of Nigeria's minority. The people doing this fraud are the Ibos and the Yorubas. Why are the Yorubas claiming this holier than thou attitude.

Don't Ever say edo girls are the only girls going to italy for prostitution,  its not so, alot of girls from nigeria when they are caught claim to be from Edo simply because we all believe from past that its edo girls that goes about Europe practising prostitution. its not so, most of those girls can't even speak the language when they are asked to speak so how then are you sure they are really from edo state?

Am still waiting for someone to take me on concerning this views; if igbos are this bad for Nigeria's image and same igbos also want to separate from Nigeria ,why can't Nigerian nation let the igbos go so that Nigerain  would then have a nice image before the rest of the world ?
if there would be a referendom among the rest of Nigeria to determine if they want to continue to be with the igbos ,we all know they would all vote to have the igbos remain with Nigeria ,does this mean that Nigeria still loves this very tribe that it claims to barter its image ? who is fooling who here ?

One sad truth is Igbos make Nigeria. No one can overlook their hardworking nature. They work for their money and they are the bedrock of Nigerias business sector.Nigeria can't let them go because dey make Nigeria in a way.

These Igbo bashers don't want to state their tribes in order for us to see how their tribes have developed Nigeria and Igbos have retrogressed Nigeria.   419 is part of Nigerian problems, most foreigners know Nigeria as a country of corrupt leadership, not Igbos. Nigerian scams are offshoot of our corrupt leadership. I bet that Alams of Bayelsa made more news in the UK than Nigerian scams. I bet that Atiku and Jefferson scandal damaged our image more than 419 in the US.  I guess that Andy Uba's indictment in the US caused more harm to our national image than 419 in the US. OBJ's involvement with Andy Uba's money ferrying activity brought a lot of shame to Nigeria.

Let's not forget that these politicians who steal our resources stash them in foreign banks which are owned by these people who call us scammers. They call scammers because   our politicians stash money abroad and live in pathetic conditions. Why on earth would a first lady of a rich country like Nigeria die in Spain of complications from plastic surgery? because they keep our money in foreign accounts and neglect our health infrastructures. Atiku had to be flown abroad for simple knee dislocation. Yar'dua had to be flown abroad for simple exhaustion. Is this not scamming when you steal from yourself?

Nigeria cannot change without a political leadership that is ready to stamp out corruption. Leadership by example;  Mr. Festus Mogae of Bostwana ,his minister go to banks to obtain BTA  as  required by law. Botswana is least corrupt country in Africa. Corruption starts from leadership and followers buy into it. When we praise public officials for stealing public funds, it reinforces the notion that stealing is cool.  The reason why much attention is focused on Nigeria is because we shoulder a lot of responsibilities in the continent.  Our failures represent dashed hopes of about a quarter Africans

It’s all traced back to poverty.
If the masses were given the attention of the leaders, such ugly incident isn’t supposed to erupt in the nation.
But when you are in a situation whereby to afford 3-square meals is now a luxury what do you expect people to do?
Do they expect everyone to become beggars?
At times, when is see the Nigerian Police force parade criminals on the Tv, when I hear their testimonies, I feel so sorry for them.
They have been neglected by the government. You have a situation whereby a university graduated becomes a “Okada” rider. Are we supposed to experience such things?
Is it fair?
People need to survive.
They are humans not animals.

Thank you my brother, i just don't see the point in being tribalistic

To all those who say hausas are saints, You lie to yourselves.

Hausa's are not typically keen on living abroad especially in the west, thats why it seems they don't get in trouble. However, they control the government ministries and share ghana-must-go bags back at home.
Why would they have to go abroad when they can do it at home?

This is free and anonymous forum where people can say anything. Seun started a thread on how to curb scams originating from Nigeria. Most people commented positively, but  the originator of this thread "Sweet T'' profiled  Igbos in his opening comments so people have to  fight back. Someone whose tribe is insulted does not go about talking Nigerian development because if your home is good, your community is good and your country reflects it. This topic is premised on Igbos involvement in scams in Nigeria, so the premise is flawed, you cannot beat a child and ask her/him not to cry.

yes you are correct the ibos and since the truth must be told, nigerians are criminal by birth and inclination and i am here to tell you that is either u are a national thief or an international thief.
the other tribes in nigeria are operating at the national levels as thieves and for the simple facts that the ibos can't find their feet at this level, option b becomes the case and here we are international thieves while u other tribes are national thieves.
please bear with me as i am reffering to the Umaru dikos, tafa baloguns, atikus, obasanjos, bode georges and a long list of other national criminals.
if anything goes wrong at international standards and the ibos rethreat to national levels, hmmmmm am afraid the whole country will be a horrible movie scene.
nobody is mentioning the odds of these national criminals because they have nothing to do with the ibos.
