I have decided to create a thread to explain why I no longer hold the religious beliefs I used to hold.

It's simple, really.  I can't understand why a good God that knows all things and can do all things would allow evil to exist in his world.  And I can't understand why a God that loves human beings would allow Satan to tempt them into disobeying him and then throw them into eternal torment for it.  That doesn't seem fair at all and I can't believe that such a God is good in any sense.

I think the world will become a much better place if we were all atheists, because we would strive to solve all our problems instead of expecting divine intervention which never really happens.  We would value human life very much because we know that once lost it cannot be replaced.

Do you have any questions, comments, respectful lectures for me?

The boy is "dissapointed" with God and would rather be an atheist.
Islam was not even an option though the choice of 4 veiled women struggling for his love may be an appealing one.
He'll rather pass.

Seun,God is still God.
Christ still knocks at the door of your heart.
Waiting patiently for your return and you will not be beheaded by Christians for saying NO

And I still have opening(s), for one or two veiled women. Seun does not know what he is
missing. Neither the woman who is the only wife. Competition is healthy, sometimes. I guess
you will miss out on the fun part of Islamic relationship; lol!

Seun, this world id the testing ground of God for mankind. Its like being in the classroom, being
quizzed or having a full blown exam. God Almighty provided the blueprint of how to avoid Satan and
his soldiers. You are told that he is your open enemy, and his bag of tricks are described to you.

You are told what is good and what the to avoid, the bad things. You are also told the consequence
of doing evil and the reward of good. Yet, God, in His mercy not to impose His will on you, allows you
free will.

He has the right on you to obey all His commands. You have the right on Him not to punish you, if
obey Him. All of these are very clear in the Qur'an and in the Hadith. It is you who will choose, by your
own free will to end up in perdition as in Hellfire or receive His mercy as being rewarded with Paradise!

God Allah the Almighty is so Merciful that He accepts repentance, but until at death bed!

So Aburo, whats your problem: Accept Islam and be benefited!

Remember Seun, everything that you are disappointed about in God are lies that the churches and mosques tell.
Maybe God is different from the way the churches and musques portray him.
Unlearn everything you've learnt from the churches and mosques; come out of the umbrella that is called religion. Look around you and seek the true God with your heart. If your seeking is genuine, you will definitely find God and his goodness.

Seek and you shall find.

If that is really his stand. Then it is not that he is an atheist but just another tee-ed off soul mad that God is not doing things HIS WAY. An atheist would be one who does not even believe a God exists. For us all to become atheist we would have to have no knowledge that a God actually exists. Knowing that God exists but choosing not to believe in him just makes one a DISGRUNTLED HUMAN BEING, not an atheist. , LMAO!!!!!!

Why do you all need him to come back to God?? Not to be selfish or nothing but has anyone considered what this means?? MORE ROOM FOR US ALL UPSTAIRS!!! LMAO!!! ,  no need to stab me ooo,  I am just saying ,  haven't you ever wondered how crowded it could become if all of us show up there ?? (Jking), LMAO!!!! Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy

Those of us who were born into christian homes, there would come a time in your life you would have to decide what Christianity is to you. You would have to choose from

1   being a baby christian who just followed your parents to church and later finding out you've been wasting your time all along,
2    to searching for something deeper and finding that relationship with God which is conceived by daily meditation on the word of God.

From this deducements, a lot of churchgoers would backslide in this  generation where there is no challenge to get the Holy spirit.

Whats do you mean as, 'word of God,' above? Bible can't be it, because it is unstable since the Qur'an declares it to be so, 1400 years ago!

FACT: Moses wrote the first part of the Torah like 1200 years before the Messiah
FACT: Revelations of Saint John the Divine was written about 2000 years ago.

Who should we listen to? Our elders or little children that think they know everything? KIDS

@Greyfox and Kobojunkie: I have no understanding of your last entries. Who is
the elder and what is Jonn the Baptist's revelation: Torah, Psalm or Injiil?

Truth comes from the mouth of babes. Age may not be the card of wisdom or
truth, sometimes. In this case Muhammad would be right! Being the Kid that is.

To Olabowale, we all know Mohammad was pursuing an  agenda, so why should he confirm the stability of the bible without contradicting himself.  Don't give me the arguement the bible has seen so many translations, we all know the original Hebrew text was translated to greek, from greek then to english , there's every probability for the originality and meanings of words in hebrew language be lost especially when there's a bridge (of another language, greek) before the English language. That doesn't mean the bible has lost its theme. So if youare serious go and read the torah. By the way have you heard about the dead sea scrolls dated before the baby Quran that was written 1400yrs ago ?(I do hope the insertion of 1400yrs ago in your response do not mean its the oldest religious book) Is it then the baby Quran that explains better?

I get uneasy when I see fellow Christians trying to ask the same old questions of people like this. Are you assuming that he has not asked himself those questions at many points in his life?? I believe in this case, instead of trying to convert the dude, what he needs more is people praying and interceding on his behalf and letting God do his work in his life. I believe in preaching the gospel but even Jesus said that when you come to a wall ( persons who do not want to hear it all, in this case, persons who have heard but CHOOSE to block it all out), we should dust our sandals and move on ( LEAVE the person for God to deal with em in his own time).
