I Hope No One Takes Liberia Seriously: ?
« on: April 19, 2007, 02:38 PM »

Hello my beautiful people!
I love this site and I love Nigeria. Just to introduce myself-my name is May Njoku and I am an Igbo but I did not grow up in Nigeria but in England.

I joined to get in touch with more Nigerians (not necessarily just Igbos) and I love anything by our great Chinua Achebe.

I have been reading some of the posts here and I just want to say that I hope no one takes 'Liberia' seriously. She is not a Liberian and she just joined here to stir up trouble, she has serious issues with herself and other Western Africans and we should not take it personally.

My great grandmother was a Krio from Sierra Leone (Igbo Krio though) and trust me I know lots of Liberians and the majority of them are very black and ugly. Their history had black americans dominating them in  their own country which is why people like Ellen Johnson Sirleaf are very light compared to George Weah. It has nothing to do with them being mixed race they just use that as an excuse because their country is so poor.

I have  done a lot of travelling  and trust me Liberia is a liar. As a general rule it would be extremely to rare to get a west african with blue black undertones to their skin (usually a browny red colour.)

Most Liberians look like men. A lot of black americans just look like regular africans especially the ones in the southern states who are as black as hell (just check the hurricane katrina pictures LOL.) Even in the neighbouring countries they are disliked because of their loud and aggressive ways.

On the Eastern coast with the exception of Ethiopia, Eritrea and SOME Somalis most to be frank are very black. Trust me I've been and worked there.

Liberia is just a jealous stirrer and to be honest I hope no one here takes her seriously. No one should be ashamed of what they are especially Nigerians.

I guess you guys have been reading the stuff on wikipedia about us? We should stand tall and be proud of what we are. Every major African novel and novelist has been Western African in origin, every single prize winner has been western african, every pan african etc.

I think Liberia is a confused black american. If black americans are so fine why do so many of their men chase other women like crazy. If you go into the ghettos you will get a sight to make you wince. The unmixed type are butt ugly especially in the southern states where the women are fatter than their men.

Liberians think they are black americans.
Nigerians think they are gods of africa.
Kenyans have serious tribal issues especially amongst the light skinned kikuyus and the darker 'nilotic' tribes.
South Africans are only light skinned amongst the Xhosa clans the rest are as dark as anything.
West Indians really shouldn't talk-most are lazy especially Jamaicans.

In my opinion I think Nigerians are classy and well educated compared to other Africans.
