I am not a game programmer by profession but I create a few games using a popular gaming engine. I remember writing space games back in them days with Qbasic but I was running a 233mhz and a 128ram diehard!.

Try the "game maker" - http://www.gamemaker.nl/. I bet you will love it

Still trying to make a nice story. Its going to be an african traditional game. Its going to be fun. c0dec, what kind of game engine are u creating?2D or 3D?. I'll like to hear from u again. Thanks.

forgot to mention, it's an AI engine at the moment. once that's complete, i'll start a physics engine. primary targets are for 3D games so 2D should neatly fit in automatically, if you understand what i mean,
