No fewer than 12 people were yesterday nabbed with ballot papers for today’s Pres-idential/Nationa Ass-embly elections at Gbagada, Lagos state. Those apprehended have since been whisked away to the State
Central Investigation Depar-tment (SCID) Panti for interrogation.
It was gathered that they were caught thumb printing ballot papers at the Gbagada Primary School, off Morenikeji Street, Gbagada Phase Two.
Our reporter learnt that a detachment of armed Policemen stormed the area on a tip-off and arrested the culprits who earlier claimed to be members of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC).
Sources further said that the 12 armed with guns and other dangerous weapons were overpowered by the Police who on interrogation uncovered the thump printed ballot papers stuffed in the ballot boxes.
On sighting the security personnel led by Supritendent of Police (SUPOL) Okereke, one of the culprits cried, “Ye mo gbe o” .
