I do this alot and i get funny answers.
Questns like;
do u like pickles? what kind??
whats that thing right there,yeah there.
don't you see it?what is it?
have you ever itched on your foot before,but you can't
scratch it because it tickles? and so on
I know its a bit immature but thats a great way to get to know someone.

If you ask him a question , be interested in his answer and then make that lead to another . Also , you say he wants you to be comfortable , well don't act shy . Open up and be yourself . If you are loud and funny , use some jokes to lighten the mood . If you are shy then take this as an opportunity to grow as an outgoing person .
