Hello Nairalanders,
I am interested in participating in the building of our great country through politics.
Does any one know how I can join any of the political parties in the country, in particular the PDP?
I tried searching on the net ,but it seems they do not have a website.
Any information will be useful.

A political party is a group of people who share the same views about how the government should be run and what it should do Do you share the same views with PDP.
Most of the major parties have a youth branch.

That's a good one coming from a young lady. It's really commendable.
I only hope you are joining the party in order to build the "one Nigeria" and not to destroy it like Etteh.
I also hope these politicians do not force you to take oaths in shrine or reinforce yourself by making human sacrifices like its normally done in Nigeria.
Start from the youth branch like Uche1 suggested.

Joining a political party is as simple as enrolling ones child to school.just look for a party that ideology or programmes suits yours,then ask around in your neigbourhood when and what time such party meets,u need to start from your zone,then u ll graduate to ward,then local govt,then state.That is how it is,I was a zonal youth leader in my zone before i graduated in 2001

If its PDP (people destroyer party) you've got your eyes and heart on, that's easy.
All you have to do is go to Otta farms, crawl on your knees, pucker your lips and start smooching on Obasanjo's black and crocro (Eszema) infested buttocks.
Promise him that you will loot, kill, burn, rig and cause general mayhem. Not only will you be registered, you are garanteed to win political office!!!!!!!!

I am interested in participating in the building of our great country through politics. @poster You can participate effectively in building our great country without joining any political party; infact, today that is the best and sincere method to assist in rebuilding our nation. There are many sensible and effective methods out there, without joining a political party that one could utilize to help in rebuilding our nation. Judging from my experience, joining a political party and helping in building our nation are totally 2 opposite animals. This could change very soon, but for now it isn't the same ball game. There are many categories: We have education, health care, and we also have the newly implemented strategic team, that focuses on moving our nation forward. These groups have absolutely nothing to do with politics. I will advise you to carefully start by learning more about non profit organizations all over the country, discover what you can do to assist these groups (remember that it is not always about money, you can assist in many other ways); this first start could also assist you in breaking through into the political arena. |

Make sure you join a party whose ideologies conform with yours.

suicide? joining a political party is totally free. since multiparty democracy was declared, political parties have sprung up like mushrooms in Africa. each one has their own manifesto, their own ideology. if you do not like it, then you do not join, simple. help set up and establish our party in Nigeria. we have only just began, but in the last few weeks we already are legally established in three African countries, Kenya, Zambia and The Dem. Rep. Congo. hopefully we can hold it and grow there. we've met the conditions for setting up our party in Liberia, and Zimbabwe, and are working with a few individuals to get one started in Ghana. you don't have to join formally, Just be rich, attend their gathering, learn to talk rubbish, be ready to change political views like sanitary pads and talk from both sides of the mouth, have your garrison of thugs and lastly assume the rest of Nigerians are fools, then you become a member of BOT, believe me, i ve an uncle as the Chairman of the BOT.

3- identify that u are a new member
4- register with them
