I personally think that firing the domestic and clerks working in the V P office is a vindictive act, there is just no justifying it considering most of them are civil servant and really need the salary from their job. OBJ should be magnanimus in victory, after all they are still Nigerians and the winner takes all mentality has to stop.

What is the use paying them from hard earning tax payers when they and their boss do no work?

At least ATIKU is still the VP so stripping him of his aides is just abuse of power by OBJ and another example of executive gangsterism

so it was good for Atiku to stop attending executive meetings, it was good for him to abdicate his position as the vice president, it was good for him to earn money from a post he occupies without doing anything, but it is wrong for the government to put things in order by doing away with his staff who does nothing?

What is the use paying them from hard earning tax payers when they and their boss do no work? they serve the V P not Atiku, the position of VP is recognized by our constitution and not the occupier. Atiku is just a bench warmer till another person takes over, so to have a turn over every election is as good as bringing politics into our civil service and do we even know what this does to their moral? now every C- servant will partake in election rigging making sure their BOSS retains his/her seat to keep their JOB. Monday on NTA when YAR'DUA visited state house (aso rock) POLICE MEN in uniform were shown singing winner oh oh oh winner, , its totally unprofessional when security agent display public solidarity in view of the world, shameful very shameful. what we had was an election not a war.

@ alabyemmy
Just how does this affect Atiku? he can afford to hire twenty domestic help if he needs them, the poor fellows caught in this are the ones worst off, now they have to start looking for job because they were unfortunate to work in the VP section of aso rock. Poor them to think they were neutral in all this.

This is double talk Read everything from the beginning and you will realize, I said they are the VP workers not Atiku. The position is entrenched in our constitution and not Atiku, they are attached to the VP office and we are going to have another VP soon, so why the turn over OR is being a domestic help now a political appointment?
