On the real sense, a phone is a liability but in the business sense, a phone is also an asset in that there are a thousand and one ways by someone's handset can make money for him. Well, as the saying goes, nothing is bad, it is exactly how you look at it that makes it bad or good.

For me, my phone is both my asset and a value to me, because, with it, i make great business calls that puts money into my pocket, with it, i receive payment confirmations and all others.

so, phone can be anything to anybody depending on how you look at it.
