How does one reply to this? As a white preacher, lol. I thought God made man white black or red all in His image? I understand what has gone on in history and it is a sad thing to know that most people in power to control others use laws and religion to keep all men and women oppressed for their purposes. I don't really know how this will come across but I have sat staring at death over one dozen times in my 50 years of life. I have been imprisoned for youthful mistakes. I have seen white and black clash time and time again. But mainly from a non biased view I have seen more aggression in my few years on earth from the blacks than I have the whites. I mentioned I was in prison as a young man and I was put in a 8 man cell where I was the only white person there. Out of the 2 years I spent there I was almost killed 2 times by black people not whites. I am not saying the white race is without its ignorant bigots, but what I am focusing on is the observance that I personally have had multiple life threatening situations from a black man than ever from a white man. Let me also say. I have had more black friends I could trust with my life probably than the worth times I had with the bad situations. So does this equal out all the bad that has happened to me? No, because I have had my own troubling moments in my life where bigotry forced its ugly head making me make improper decisions as well. But is this what God wants of me? No, absolutely not! Jesus was not a white man, he was a Jew and of eastern descent. Why is the creator even worried about man at all was my thoughts most of the time? And why would he want to create an offering to forgive man at all? I have wondered these very questions myself. I have had moments where I counted the times I looked death in the face and wondered why don't you take me? Why keep me here when most times I do selfish self fulfilling things that do not honor God? The answer is not to clear most times times and only by the grace of God and spiritual affirmations do I know without a doubt God and Christ exist. I have witnessed God glory in my life and the life of others who truly love God. God healed my life and the process was not immediate it took a year of weeping and raised hands to God saying I am not worthy. Then one day the hurt stopped and the pain went away. This is the truth about the love of God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He loved us so much that He gave his only begotten son to be a sacrifice for our sins. How unworthy we are yet I would lay my life down for Him in an instant if asked to do so for Him. My brothers and sisters life is not just black and white, although some would want to keep this animosity as real as the air we breathe alive to keep us from knowing what true love is. I only know that when God is with me I fear nothing that any man can do to me. I also would not want to hurt anyone just because they don't believe in what I believe in. I am a messenger and the message I bring is of hope and love and forgiveness through the man Jesus Christ. As God is my witness I post this for the love of God and not the wrath of God. We all will have a moment when we are Judge for the things we did in our lives. Not just the things but every word that came from our mouths is recorded. Boy I have a lot to account for, but God tells me He will remember my sin no more and excuse the expression I am as white as snow he sees no blemish of sin in me by the blood of His son Jesus which covers me. I have a new way of thinking and it is not just what can I get for my self in this life and to hell with everyone else, it is the opposite and I want all men to be blessed by God and know the peace I have known and know He can give it to you if you just ask for it. You can be forgiven it is not a dream, it is a reality from the one who created us to be in harmony with Him. I pray God opens your hearts and minds. I pray you will pour aside words of hatred and color and difference's and Martin Luther King asked us to do. Not as Malcolm X wanted us to do but the King. And the one true King is also the lion of Judah. He was the lamb but he is coming back as revelations says as the lion. Pray God opens your hearts and accept Jesus Christ into your lives and say to him. Lord. I know you died for me and I am truly sorry for the life I have lived without you. Lord I ask you to come into my heart and become the Lord of my life. Let you Holy Spirit teach me and guide me in all the ways to serve and please you. I ask this in Jesus Christ name. Amen. If you prayed this prayer God is a promised keeper and will do this immediately! You can and will be know as a child of God through Christ Jesus. Jesus said, " No man comes to the father, but through me." Then John 3:16-17 says For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him shall not die but have everlasting life. For God sent his son in the world not to condemn the world but that the world through him would be saved. God bless all those who receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I am back and in the mood for a good conversation. I did go to church this morning and the great thing about walking into the church I belong to is the immense feeling of love I feel when I enter the door. No expectations of me from anyone except to be honest with my feelings and faith to God through Christ Jesus. Jesus said if you are ashamed of me before men how can I represent you before my father? I am not ashamed by my faith and the reality we live in now gentleman is just that a physical reality. Spiritual reality is something entirely different and I have personally witnessed evil and good on the spiritual level. Seen it with my own eyes the boogie man hanging over my bed and witnessed by a non believing of any faith person. Now know this we are just a small part of the biggest picture in all of creation, but we have a chance of redemption and forgiveness for trying to make ourselves in a God form, not relying on the truths of who God really is. I feel truly horrible when I know or heard of someone I know who has passed away and did not know a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I who used to serve in the Marines and US Army witness a greater truth in God and his promises to us than what we can manifest through the interpretation of intelligent men and women. Great people cannot even come close to imagining and explaining the infinitesimal existence of God the Father. I can sit and debate on what we all believe and we would all come up with all different ideas of who we think God is. Can we agree on that? And I know how crazy it sounds how the world was created and went through it's different stages of so called evolution. But I know in my heart the day I leave this earth I am banking on the truth of the promises of Jesus Christ and God almighty. I would rather die with His name on my lips than still remain here today living a lie. Would I impose my will on others to believe what i believe and hurt them to believe what I believe? Absolutely not! Free will is something that is given unto us and it hurts me more to think I wish it was not given to us, but it was, and it has led so called horrific times through Christian and Muslim coexistence. But remember God says he wishes that none would perish that all were made in Hos image. So, how can we in good conscience kill our brothers? How could we even kill our enemies? When God says He wishes none would perish? You know guys I don't know you but my life before God was chaotic to say the least. But since I have come to know God and Christ Jesus and except through faith what God says there has been more peace in my life than I can understand. I pray God opens your hearts to His knowledge and not the foolishness of the world. Anyways enough of my rambling. I am an uneducated fellow, but i try my best to get my point out there and not be biased in a form or fashion. You know where I stand and I hope we can have further conversations in the near future. RevStevenC: I am back and in the mood for a good conversation. I did go to church this morning and the great thing about walking into the church I belong to is the immense feeling of love I feel when I enter the door. No expectations of me from anyone except to be honest with my feelings and faith to God through Christ Jesus. Jesus said if you are ashamed of me before men how can I represent you before my father? I am not ashamed by my faith and the reality we live in now gentleman is just that a physical reality. Spiritual reality is something entirely different and I have personally witnessed evil and good on the spiritual level. Seen it with my own eyes the boogie man hanging over my bed and witnessed by a non believing of any faith person. Now know this we are just a small part of the biggest picture in all of creation, but we have a chance of redemption and forgiveness for trying to make ourselves in a God form, not relying on the truths of who God really is. I feel truly horrible when I know or heard of someone I know who has passed away and did not know a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I who used to serve in the Marines and US Army witness a greater truth in God and his promises to us than what we can manifest through the interpretation of intelligent men and women. Great people cannot even come close to imagining and explaining the infinitesimal existence of God the Father. Rev you made my day, thanks a lot |
