Lies!
« on: May 05, 2007, 04:34 PM »

, to save your job?

, your relationship?

, to avoid loss of respect from family, friends or colleagues?

, to avoid criminal prosecution?

, your life?

Is a lie ever better than the truth sometimes - or - none of the time?

Olufemi,
if for all the above  mentioned, that is no lies.  IT IS CALLED EMBROIDING THE TRUTH.
IT  IS REWARDING TO LIE AND SAVE A MARRIAGE THAN TO SAY THE TRUTH AND BREAK A MARRIAGE

Well dear that to me is only if the "fairy god mother" is on a visit in your house ooh, because one thing with the truth is that it always has a way of coming out sonner or later, and what will now happen to the "things" you were actually protecting in the first place Undecided

I'm not trying to be righteous here or anything, but i do think the damage might be milder at the beginning than after all the while it takes for the truth to be unveiled . . Wink

The truth is always the best, you get it over with and don't have to live with the torture of bearing it in your mind everyday only for it to be burst open sooner or later!!!

We're all humans.
There are times in life when you've got no choice, you just have to lie.

- to save your job? - At times required (alwayz better to blame other people when projects take longer than planned)

- your relationship? - In moderation (depends on level of commitment)

- to avoid loss of respect from family, friends or colleagues? - Always be true

- to avoid criminal prosecution? - Yes

- your life? - To myself, No

True talk . . but always stand back to weigh the consequences

Is it a lie that will just be forgotten in a jiffy, a lie that wouldnt matter even if found out, or a lie that will cost you your life achievements when exposed Cry

Be wise, don't just live in "now", the future is right behind the corner Wink The easiest way out isn't always the best!!!!!
