The fact that no one has so far responded to this thread clearly shows that most people couldn't give a rat's ass about Buhari, that unrepentant and sadistic ex-military despot who put the nation through such torment back in the '80's when he stumbled into power and proceeded to lock up everone in sight, and who more recently tried to get himself elected as president of Nigeria on the bizarre campaign platform of regressing the country into the status of a Taliban-style theocratic rogue state.

About the only good news I can think of regarding Buhari would be if it were announced that the scowling semi-literate buffoon just had the living crap beaten out of him up by an irate mob who mistook him for a genitals thief in a dog-meat market.

My brother jakumo, have mercy on the poor man  Grin. He's in mourning  Cry  or is he? In as much as we shouldnt gloat over anothers misfortune, I agree with you on the "beating the living crap" out of him bit. That guy has no human feelings or emotions at all. His plans for Nigeria are not in the interest of peace.

Why all these hatred toward Buhari when he was trying to establish peace and order in a country that had been hijacked and turned upside down by corrupt politicians? At least, a few of his policies, like War against Indisicipline was effective. Tell me, is the Nigerian nation better under than hands of OBJ than it was under Buhari? Gross indiscipline and corruption are now a way of life back home. Give the duo, (Buhari and Idiagbon) some kudos for their efforts in restoring stability in the country.

With due respect, Ndipe,  that War Against Indiscipline farce which Buhari imposed on Nigeria amounted to nothing but an official plunder day-pass for underpaid soldiers to swarm out of the barracks and invade Nigeria's city streets in an orgy of humiliation, abduction and robbery of innocent civilians, all under the ridiculous pretext of forcing those victims to assume the role normally assigned to city dump truck crews throughout the rest of the world.

Buhari is a callous, bullying religious jingoist whose mad brutalization of a people served no positive purpose whatsoever during his first reign of terror which was characterized by the jailing and silent murder of outspoken critics, journalists, and perceived enemies by the score.    Unchanged by the passage of time,  Buhari only recently summoned the press to hear his plan for Islamic amputation law to apply throughout Nigeria, an explosive agenda he will no doubt pursue with insane vigor should he be rigged into power in the upcoming elections.

Hehe.  Even Northerners would not vote for such a person.  Sorry, did I call him a person?  My mistake.

Indiscipline was the order of the day in the 2nd republic. However, that changed, when Buhari assumed the mantle of leadership. He may have gone overboard with some of his policies, but his draconian rules gave birth to public decorum in the society. Perhaps, he could be forgiven for imposing these drastic actions, but remember, his targets were mostly politicians, whom he felt had squandered, plundered and reduced the Giant of Africa into a banana republic.

He did not pay lip service to corruption, but appeared genuine in restoring a sense of credibility in the society. Do you remember after the 1985 coup, when he was booted out of office? Newswatch magazine ran a story on his family, and their adjustment in the aftermath of the coup. It was quite unbelievable to my friend's roommate in college. The article stated that the families were living a modest lifestyle engaging in (I think) subsistence farming to make ends meet. Some of the daughters of Buhari were attending Federal colleges in Nigeria. The man practised what he enforced in the society, as opposed to the pomp and wastefulness that has characterized the practises of some of his sucessors.

Any cause that sees a government trampling roughshod on people's civil rights is an unjustifiable cause.  The number of people thrown into dungeons without trial by Buhari and his lap dog Idiagbon far exceeds the number incarcerated unjustly by any other regime before or since, including the blood-thirsty Abacha regime.

Better to live in a country where "indiscipline" ( whatever the phuck that means ) proliferates, than to exist in a totalitarian climate of repression presided over by a sneering chimpanzee in army uniform who assigns himself the role of judge, jury and executioner so as to jail and murder all who so much as breathe a word of dissention, which is precisely what the dark years of the Buhari dictatorship amounted to.

Hell Yeah, give me a double scoop of "indispleen" any day, baby, and to hell with Seriki Buhari and his grand illusion that he will ever get to turn Nigeria an Islamic police state ruled by whip-wielding taliban hordes.    Let Buhari go ahead and copulate with the flea-bitten camel he rode in on as a prelude to a triumphal regime of enforcing "displeen" in his mud-hut village where the inhabitants would just love being brutalized by an arrogant, stern-faced overseer hopelessly intoxicated with his own sick delusions of grandeur.

My sympathy goes to the children who have lost a mother and her siblings and family.
Buhari most likely would have other wives fill in her space as they did even while she lived.
She was just one of several.
If he loved her, he would never have shared his bed with several other females besides her.
He deserves no sympathy from me,none whatsoever.
