Fans For Local Football Clubs

Why is it that our local clubs do not have fans from Nigeria here as European clubs have in Nigeria? If two local clubs have match, the stadium is always scanty. Even when it is televised, the viewership is poor but if it is European clubs, wait and see the what will happen. Some will leave there house and look for where there is cable, my friend bought gen set only to watch European legues. Where i work, discussion on European legues attracts much comment than discussion on salary even if it is delayed. Some do not know last local league result but will give you clubs position in premiership league from top to bottom.Even school pupil in my place can name almost all chelsea players, name more than six clubs in Europe but do not know the name of a local team in Nigeria  Now, why not give our local club half of such support.? If we give them such support, do you think they cannot make it big as Liverpool and Manchester United? Anyway, my local team here is Enyimba FC of Aba

Abiola Babes was my team. I loved them a lot and I used to follow the Nigerian league when I was much younger and did not even care about these foreign teams.  The Nigerian league has seen no improvent for years hence the reason why so many Nigerians love the European leagues. If the nigerian league can return to its glory days or even half the level of the european leagues then you,ll surely see people supporting their local teams once again

how do u expect us to know what we don't see, read or hear about?
i used to love the league when we had such teams as abiola babes, leventis united, calabar rovers, stationary stores [oh how i love that name],rangers, spartans ,mighty jets, bendel insurance etc.
When people like the last commentators of our time EARNEST OKONKWO gave us something to cheer about with names like   dimunitive John Benson, elastic Elaho, chairman Chukwu,Ansah has an anwer, thunder Balogun, mid field marshal Ekpo etc,   oh the good old days when listening to radio  football commentaries was a thing of joy,but alas, what do we have now,
your guess is as good as mine.

Shooting Stars.

I've watched over 100 of their matches
live from the Liberty stadium to Adamasingba
(Lekan Salami) sports complex.

They give me nostalgic feelings when I
remember the good old days.

Up sootin.

We all know that the quality of our local league is very poor, the NFA always conflict with NFL, poor quality of Game, the almosphere is an eyesore and why should somebody want to put himself into this mess.
We could not even get proper information about the teams and the league, well too poor, o ma se o
