What Do You Hate About Our Moderator?

The girl just attacked me for no where saying I get agenda.
My agenda right now is to pay off my school debts,if she or anyone knows the answer,I'm all ears

lai lai, osisi you know its not you, its the police up there who is investigating each person's 'hidden agenda' and 'erractive' behavior 


better don't run foul of her, she has warned you already

It's not good to talk about someone behind their backs,she's logged off so it would be proper not to discuss her.

#4 The lack of specific moderators for each group like sports, music, politics, etc, he should choose suitable members to occupy such positions

very hard working chap to say the least about the moderator.The score rating is 99% but there is more room for improvement,he will definitely improve on i'm quite sure .Need more encouragment.

I love nairaland

I hate him because he doesnt think that the more you ban, the more multiple usernames multiplies. So - I hate him for thinking as a fish - hahahahaha.

1 main reason: he remains predictable! whatever happened to spontaneity?

this is a catch-22 situation - the only time i am in the office is when i am in the office. 

Equating this line to Seun's post: the only time you can air your grievances is when you can't air your grievances 

if we all thought alike, we'd most probably have the same face, same name, same gender, same age, same everything.

I have noticed as others have pointed out a certain condescending attitude by the moderator.Please note that as a Nigerian living in Nigeria continuing with such an attitude will not only upset people but will close doors for you where you should have had easy access.
Most of the people on this forum are responsible adults and even though we don't see each other should be treated with courtesy .You need to do your job with utmost civility.
I may be wrong , but I don't think anyone hates you.This forum which you created is a wonderful thing.

SOME things i dislike about "our moderator":
1) The fact that he often deletes people's posts for the fact that HE feels it's irrelevent. it's very rude and disrespectful to the poster.
2) Not allowing grown-ass folks to speak their minds sometimes. this goes back to point number one of deleting people's posts because he disagrees with it. that's just wrong.
3) Openly showing bias. of course it's your forum but most of the times, an admin should be a mediator in debate-like issues and not join in one side to put down others. for example, the thread about why Nairaland girls don't participate in "intelligent threads".
4) Locking up threads. this is irritating. you lock up threads when it's steaming and don't even bother to give a reason why you did so.
5) Unnecessary banning of members. i don't get why grown folks can speak without outwardly offending anyone and you still go ahead and ban 'em. not even give a warning or a preliminary punishment like suspensions or whatever.
6) I have seen this done several times with others: how the mod/admin puts down other people's ideas because he thinks his sounds much more intelligent. let others speak and don't put them down. i don't know why many people on here find that so hard to do.

My perception of Seun Osewa is that he is a narcissistic, short-sighted and disrespectful person.

I believe my overall 'perception of him can be best summarized in an excerpt I once read in a book:
 it goes "Poor thing! He has no enemies but himself."

In otherwords, I find that he is his own greatest detractor - as far as monetizing Nairaland goes.

Why he may not be the sharpest tool in the box:
1. He obviously does not know his audience, and if (per chance) he has an inkling, he disregards this knowledge of a potential viable market. In otherwords, not all Nairalanders are pubescent teenagers flexing their vocals - some are potential venture capitalists, geniuses in their fields etc. Some come here to shoot the breeze but can equally make things happen. In otherwords, you have the 'forum' to make things happen but the rotten attitude is a mega turn-off.

2. He tries to limit participation by frivolously banning others - this one baffles the heck out of me. When I first stumbled upon this site, I was in Nairaland heaven - reading the open communications of my peeps. That soon waned though and the vibe is now more of a constricted, overly orchaestrated forum - losing its edge, and ofcourse, posts

3. He has not turned the insane amount of visitors into REAL money thus far - probably collecting paltry adsense revenue vs the real potential in the eyeballs that 'graze' his site daily.

4. He does not realise that in the ocean of internet communications  he is but a speck. Users are a flighty bunch as it were, and there are just too many other things out there for anyone to spend time catering to an over inflated ego.

 5. He will take offense to many of the posts - even though he seems to be craving constructive feedback.

because in the first place,there's a deception on his part
He raised a topic for people to air their views and now his banning Seye for just doing that.
Is that not deceit in the highest order
