@menike.
If you read my post, "acquittal" means the case is ended and Irv and his brother are home free. Last I checked, it's the INC RECORDS. Please update me on that. Thanks. By the way, you sound really young and might want take my advice and get the big picture about gangsters. I'll love to see you become the next Irv Gotti or better still Jay Z. Rap mogul that is. Peace.

well is not every Nigerian Guy in America that try so hard to be a gangster, some of them  still have the good attitude they had when they were in nigeria, while some the wannabes are totally out of control.

@Topic

It is not EZ to live the THUG LIFE. I am all for them to do their thing, just do not kill people. Nigerian Boyz in Nigeria try very hard to be Gangsters too, even more than those here in the US. Nigerian rappers and artist all try to copy the US trends. You Nigerians in country, need to remove log in your eyes before judging the 1% here.

But they don't sell cracks, neither do they go about with Uzis and AK.

@Joftech

Cult Boys in our tertiary institutions carry guns, maybe not UZIS and AK'S. But that is just an economic thing. If they can afford those weapons i am sure they will carry it freely.They might not sell crack, but they are doing a lot of illegal things and getting away Scott free.

I disagree on that one! Even the ones in Nigeria are worse, they want to be among. they want to emulate what they see in the videos so they want to be something as like that, they are even more annoying than the ones abroad!!

You guys should look at it this way “Everybody is different” and “No body is perfect” so don’t judge anybody. Just because u aint trying to be gang stars doesn’t mean u a 100%. People make wrong choices. A lot of reasons can contribute to the person trying to join a gang; it could be either for protection or childishness. But more importantly, the kind of friends a person keeps can also contribute and also his motives of wanting to travel. So instead of criticizing or picking on them, try to get closer to them and advice them. Besides they tarnish every Nigerians image everywhere in the world. Especially the ones here in Nigeria who are trying to run away. Like me  Tongue Grin Wink Smiley Cool lol  Grin. But looks like the Nigerians I have seen on naira land who are abroad and at home are wonderful, friendly and have a great sense of humor. Keep it up guys. You R REPRESENTING US AND A COUNTRY WHOSE IMAGE IS ……….DAMN!!!!

Actually nigerian govt made us that way.There is so much insecurity in ngr thats why u see guys identifying wit cult groups.A brother tld me he will join one so he cld get a clique,nobody wants to be intimidated,the govt is already made of gangs when you are made to go tru fetish acts before u can take up a post in ngr.Wats more worse than that.Are our leaders not suppose to set good examples.

Just because our leaders aint all that doesnt mean they should be too. Dont look at their present state, wait 4 their end and see. People who join cults/gangs are doing it for their own interesnt don't really think its about the gov. But Wadosky looks like u really got BEEF with the gov. I GOT UR BACK BRO  Wink , WHEN WE GO START THE REVOLUTION!!!!! Angry

Nigerian guys in America trying so hard to be gangsta = abeg, leave them alone, they are just wannabees,

worse, the ones here in Nigeria. You see, with the level of sunshine and heat here, imagine someone, around 2pm wearing this an oversized t-shirt, low-waste level baggy jeans which he has to hold with his hands at the front, timbaland boots, and then a half zipped-up heavy jacket(like the one worn during snow season, a headband, and a dog-chain on his neck.

they may be around two guys dressed that way, and walking as if their hips were dislocated. they might be talking together and then they are gyrating as if their hands want to break into two. worse, suppose they had their own car, we would have said, o boy, this guys are hot o, but they poor boys are still taking okada.

I just smile and wonder how the devil could be punishing some people. Their role models are hiphop starts and the european and american ganstas,and those kind of clothing are not fit for this our kind of weather, but my bobos here will still wear it regardless of the personal discomfort, as long as they wannabe

I think that Nigerians who try to act like these akata gangsters really shouldn't.  First of all, we don't have the same history as them, so we really have no excuse to act like an ignorant, incompetent, immature criminal.  After all your relatives have suffered to bring either you, your parents, or other relatives here to America, you'd rather throw all of that away to act like a menace to society.  We should be acting like other immigrants who come to this country, succeed in education, and establish ourselves enough to contribute something back home.  YOU ARE NOT AKATA, so drop it.

Btw, I'm NBA (Nigerian born in America) in medical school.
