candid advice. drop it.
better still, look for someone with a "clean" version of the phone, rip the os from the fone unto your system and overwrite d os of d one with u.
candid advice again, go buy d "non locked" version. a friend-of-a-friend of mine bought his for 32,000 naira, new.
oh, BTW, i have a locked version of d phone, but i dont use it, i have 6600

Please stick to africanboy's advice get yourself a new phone. The software for unlocking nokia 6630 is very scarce and even if you find it its going to be very expensive

The Nokia company has not yet released the unlock codes for 6630.So, my advise is that you should exercise some patience.

unless you are selling (which i doubt), make i available, or better still tell him to send you his IMEI or whatever u might need and let him post here that he has unlocked the phone. if he does confirm, others might consider buying the solution from you.

Can anyone unlock the Nokia 6630? I currently have one, which I bought in April 2005, on T-Mobile, and I want to put my O2 SIM card in it, I've tried in Bolton, where I live, but I can't get it unlocked anywhere. Anyway, my question is, can networks unlock phones? If I ring T-Mobile and ask them to unock it would they be able to? And any idea of how much that would cost?

beckyangel, tmobile should be able to provide the unlock code for that phone. I believe it has to be registered to a tmobile account at the time the request for the code is made. So, if you are a tmobile customer, or know someone that's a customer, just register the phone to the account, and then ask for the unlock code. Here (Tmobile or Cingular ) will not charge for the unlock code, but I believe the UK providers charge about 10 pounds or so.
