People, reality is that s**t happens. I am a single dad, because my baby mama did not realise it was time to grow up. I had nothing against marriage and all that, but she was not just getting that the game had changed!

To cap it all she upped and went the day after the boy was 1 yr old. Yep, u guys r going to crucify me for having lived with her for 1 year without tying the proverbial knot, but I just had to BE SURE!

To be truthful, it's now kind of trendy Grin for me 'because I am thinking school fees when my boiz are thinking booze fees Wink, but it was real trashy when I had to wake up 2/3 times a night to deal with his natural wants Tongue.

All in all, the truth is no1 goes through single parenthood without one form of regret or the other, but some (like me Smiley)  have decided to turn it to our advantage (my boiz are still being called 'uncle' by my son, )

One sane parent is better than 2 dysfunctional parents under the same roof!

The world is changing, so is our morals, values and norms to upgrade to the 21st Century. The sacredness of marriage has been trashed so people prefer to have kids out of wedlock and continue with their lives with no strings attached to their partners. No one wants to pay alimony or divorce settlements or be divorced or be cheated on or have their faces punched or be questioned about their movements.

Single Parenthood can never be trendy, its not trashy either.
When the circumstances lead one on this path, i cannot say much
except that God will be their helper. like my friends who had their fathers
killed by armed robbers, their mums raised them for ten years before they
went out on their own and their mum is living in paradise on earth now.

But for those who would go on this path by themselves are a selfish lot
its not fair to the child who needs both a father and mother figure in their lives
Many children end up being very diagonal in their thinking, its not a nice thing.

Nothing, absolutely nothing trendy about this.
