Genevieve Nnaji for Hollywood?

I aint saying she is not a good actress, my point is that she is good, excellent for Nollywood not Hollywood, Hollywood is not for amatuers, its for big tymers.

Hey seemed to be some confusion i am a female. 

Nobody is born a professional;, everybody has a chance it's one step at a time

The main point of my last post is that hollywood actors are not responsible for the sophistication of hollywood movies.  Did you get that?  Actors all over the world are all the same - all they do is read the lines and follow the directions of the script; that's all.  The only thing that's special about "top" actors is that, thanks to their fan following, they get the chance to work on the best films.  This is simply because the producer knows that the mere presence of those actors in the movie will make it sell more.

Genevieve Nnaji doesn't get paid better than other actresses because she's more talented.  She gets paid more because if I, Seun, am able to get her to act in my debut movie, people will buy it because of Genevieve's face on it.  There's even a story that says that the reason Genevieve Nnaji became popular in the first place is because she was charging a low fee for appearance in each movie and acted in so many movies that she because ubiquitous.  Yes, talent is helpful in acting but being in the right place at the right time can be even more helpful!

So the issue of Genevieve Nnaji making it in Hollywood is not about her talent; it's about her ability to give the hollywood movie producers the same confidence that she gives Nolywood producers, that "if I put this girl in my movie, it will most likely sell like hot cake".  How many fans exactly does she have in the US?  Are they concentrated in one place so the movie producer can earn from cinema showings?  Even if she makes more than in Nigeria, will it be enough to survive in the expensive hollywood environment?

I live in the United States and trust me it's very hard to break into tables because there are so many girls waiting tables in hollwood hoping to be stars, if genevieve wants to break into hollywood she will have to first change her accent totally that's what matters because the audience should be able to understand every word she says and then surpass the girls who are waiting at the gates of hollwood hoping to get in someday and there's one other thing she has to change her skin color (if possible) because black people aren't taken that good in hollywood unless if she wants to go for the black entertainment production in hollywood, that's my say.

SHE WOULD DEFINETLY HAVE TO CHANGE HER ACCENT AND THIS IS NOT DEBATABLE OR NEGOTIABLE. IT IS NOT 4 US TO ARGUE. THERE IS ONE NIGERIAN GUY WHO FEATURES IN CANADIAN MOVIES AND TELE AND HE SAID THE BIGGEST PROBLEM FOR AN AFRICAN WILL FOREVER BE ACCENTS.

Hollywood might accept the british accent, when it fits a role(and maybe because its british) nut the (gbugburu) african accent is totally intolarable. Remember the other actors and the whole audience MUST understand everythin you say, and don't tell me its about corect english, its about accent

Barbir u leave in the US huh   and it still hasn't dawn on u that US is a diversified place . Far gone are the days of slavery. Your statements rather reflect a derogative pass i mean years ago.  as from now u should begin to know that no matter your accent, skin color u can go anywhere u want. Taye Diggs "How Stella gained her grove" He is black and a Jamaican with an accent, it hit the top chart on billboard. come to think of it his accent made it more unique.If u are good at what u do, then it's all at your fingertips. He's futured in may other movies and all sorts of magazine. Let nothing hold you back in anything.

first of all thank i will like to thank those who are sensible.gene.if i say u can't make it(which might be true)i ll be predicting the future which I'm not supposed to do.why didn't u keep your opinion to yourself and go for an audition first if u are taken its your luck.this hollywood thing is for u to decide by yourself not writing it for us to see, and for your information hollywood is not to be compared to nollywood .if she goes it might  work and it might not .how can she compare nollywood to hollywood when bollywood is there.are u sure this Mr bovi is not in love with her and is trying to swear her head?

wats d side up for genny all about, am sure u've never called her. she's too fake for an actress there r millions of americans who want to be in hollywood and who r more talented than genny but they avent got there. genny needs to go to school and remain in africa where she is recognised.

@Mia  Sounds like u have a personal issue with Gennie, that not withstanding i think she does a good job, she has the talents, and she can make it to any where Holllywood or no Hollywood.  All she need to stay focused, collected, detemined and pray and she will get there             Keep goin' Gennie critism will only make you work harder and stay strong   OK
