Homosexual advocates will contend that homosexuality is natural, and some will point to homosexual activity within some animal species as evidence.  However, it’s not hard to figure out that homosexuality is decidedly unnatural.

God made men and women different, both emotionally and physically.  Physically, we were created to fit together anatomically.  Remember the child’s game of matching the round peg into the round hole, the square peg into the square hole, etc.?

The homosexual is trying to force two pegs together, in blatant disregard for God’s natural design!  The argument above also falls flat on its face when you consider that some animal species also eat their young.  I don’t think we can extrapolate that into an acceptable practice for human beings.

@ yemstrad,
I'm a little bit surprised that you start talking about morality. Your attitude and behaviour towards your secretary was indeed a show of high moral standards.

Do explain why it is unnatural. You just said it was natural for animals and by extension for humans

Apparently analogy is all you can come up with. How about some evidence?

That's a new concept: God's natural design. What is that exactly?

Of course nature should not be our guide when it comes to morality. Nature is very cruel and distinctly amoral. Why then do you refere to God's natural design?
Why don't you try to prove that homosexuality is immoral. Maybe you can start by defining morality and then explaining why homosexuality is immoral

How can God hate what he created? If he hates, he has got unfulfiled needs. If he has unfulfilled needs, he is not all-powerful, otherwise these unfulfilled needs would not exist.

And still you are willing to take up the role of God's executionor, acting from your own hatred (a sin by the way)

With that said, we must not be afraid to stand up and champion the cause of morality.  Some will call us bigots and homophobes for our belief that homosexuality is a sin, but we cannot let name-calling soften our beliefs in God’s moral code.  The pro-homosexual movement can only marginalize us if we allow ourselves to be marginalized.  There are two ways we can do that:

I think you should read these sources first before speaking about their content. "Crime against nature" was put between quotation marks.
Or maybe your question to me was rhetoric and you didn't want to be educated?

Immorality of the highest order!!! Same sex relationshionship is unethical, absurd, unspeakable, dehumanising, unAfrican and very ungodly. We all must fight against this western babaric and animalistic behaviour. I am a very strong opposer of gay and lesbianism.

You should be talking?

I never make up my mind beforehand.
Some people assume by default that homosexuality is immoral.
I on the other hand do not assume anything. I ask you and the other people on the boards th bring evidence for homosexuality's immorality.
This would include a definition of morality and evidence that homosexuality is reducing that morality.

If you say it's immoral because God hates it, than you say that society's morality comes from your conception of God and then you're effectively promoting a theocracy.

Once more, assertion without any evidence to back it up. Why do you people think by saying thousand times that the sky is green, it will actually become green?

Here's the real tragedy. The planned ban and the illegal status of homosexuality in Nigeria only affect poor gay people. The rich are not bound by laws.

I gladly agreed to that law, it is un-africa, un-religion, it is nothing to think about, i imagine those that practiced it, if it was, what their parent choosed to do before they get married, does that person think he or she would have been given birth to, for Those that said yes, that they should be no ban to same-sex marriage, i petty your next generation, by then they them self will be implementing a law that give rights for an individual intrested in marrying their favourite  animal (pet).
So we should be watchedful in what we claimed to be right

What made man different from animal is the nu ms and standards.  So to be happy mean one should oppose nature. Animals as they are  even ants can not make love to same sex.

Thanks @nferyn,

But I didn't ask if you were Bisexual. I guess you are not too right?

Anyway guys,

This is a bill that has to go through the lower and upper house of the national assembly, before it becomes a law.

I would suggest  those of us against this bill, endeavor to make comments during the public hearings on the bill.

If majority of Nigerians believe it should be law, like I do, then it'll be. That's also democracy.

We'll decide on what we want and what we do not want. If you can't live with it, please stay away from the Heart of Africa, or better still, don't be caught.

Take for instance,  something as simple as stealing, many people steal, but if you are caught, you go to jail. That does not mean that we shouldn't have a law banning stealing.

As Africans we believe in God, and all our laws are governed by the laws of God.

Now, God created the woman for the man.

@nferyn,

Do you believe that there is a God, and if so, do you think God was wrong in creating a woman for the man?

It's also comparable to the way Hitler democratically got rid of democracy. A functional democracy protects the rights of it's minorities

Difference is that stealing causes harm. Homosexuality does not cause anyone harm.

This is not universal in Africa. You are forcing your opinion on the people in Africa that do not believe in God. Which African God are you talking about, by the way, Oldumare or Olokun or still another God?
