medically speaking, size has absolutely nothing to do with performance. Some "tools" can be weapons of torture for some wives. bigger doesn't necessarily mean better.

Hmmm.
I see. So women *do* believe gynaecoloists are loaded *sigh, shaking head*
They are well taken care of, but loaded they most definitely are not. Like chris rock said, Rich- not wealthy. The sacrifices their wives make are many. You will live around other medical personnel, majority of them being married (doctor+ nurse is commoncommoncommon), and you will have to deal with hardly ever seeing your husband. I think 90% of our 'family friends circle' consisted of medical personnel, they are so insular. We lived in doctors'quarters after doctors' quarters, then finally all the doctors began buying/building houses in the same area,
The nurse/doctor wives were all happy, because they work similar hours and they know the drill, but all the 'outsiders' , well,
And yes, outsiders included men who were married to doctor wives. I mean, I'D see my dad discussing with the my mother, the neighbour and his wife who was a doctor - and the poor dude would just be there, clueless, unable to grok what they were saying.
Well, this was all a long long long time ago. Maybe things are different now. However, many of my friends are now Doctors, dentists, pharmacists, physiotherapists from LUTH,UCH and abroad, and I get firsthand frontrow seat views of their lives. Yep, still insular.
(of course the fact that many of my friends are in the medical profession is a direct result of the fact that most of the people I know are doctors or related to doctors in a way, and most of them treat it as some kind of family inheritance thing. Which I REJECTED wholesale. DEFINITELY Not for me.)

I totally understand. I used to envy all you stuck up doctors kids and I was about 6 years old when I decided to be a doctor. Dreamt of being a surgeon as a child but things changed when I left for America I'm presently just a regular part time day time family practitioner in a small rural clinic,no emergencies no calls, I'm happy.,but no big bucks, free time to be on nairaland My Oga does all the work, requires me at home part time so here I am. It is amazing how doctors usually keep close friends as doctors, usually classmates from school. It's a great profession, fulfilling and you feel you're helping someone. Especially in my rural practice,I get tons of cakes and cookies. I wonder why you decided not to follow in dad's footsteps. The field of Medicine is very lucrative especially for those in their own practices not for salaried folks like myself I hope I have a child that follows in my or my hubby's footsteps career wise.
