I need to crash my present Windows and reinstall a new one.

why would u want to reinstal xp, u diddnt tell us why.

just put your xp cd in and reboot. then delete the partition containing your current os. then partition this space to NTFS format. then install xp in this partition.

i just reinstalled my xp today, too.
