i think the oldest player in the national team now is kanu,  when he was to have that operation in 1996,  he was asked of his real age then, he said he is actually 27years and at the olympics kanu claimed 17years, shame

Our players must be really fit then. Look at Olofinjana. His football age is 28. So his real age may be 32. Afterall, he finished University before he started playing. Yet the man still runs around like a 20 year old. Joseph Yobo is also 28 in football age, yet he is still producing week in, week out.

Funny thread. Grin
My father once said that : if Ogbeche (ex-Paris St Germain) claimed he was 19 years old back then, well, his son - me, of course - could claim his is about 8 years old ! At that time, I was 18. Tongue

I also ROLFed when an elderly lady asked Oruma (Marseille) to admit he is barely younger than she is (I'll have given her roughly 55 years) on the club's tv channel. Lips sealed Ouch !

I'm 38 this year, and Osaze and I were in the same age group in the late 80s, playing youth football in Benin. Although I didn't actually play beyond Ikpoba Hill, I remember him very well. Wilson Oruma is probably older than I because I remember he featured in the Delta Steel Company youth football competition in the Mid 80s, and his team went to Sweden, as they won the competition.

Suit yourself. We all grew up together, so it's up to you to believe me or not. I wonder what you'd give me if you see my picture. If you had access to him then you can ask him if he knows Kingsley Osobaiye, the best all rounder that never made it into the team because of politics; he's 37 and they all went to camp together.

Victor Igbinoba, Charles Obaze, Gabriel Adejo were all my seniors in high school. The first two by five years, and Gabriel Adejo by two years. You can do the math yourself.

Kanu is supposedly "just 32" and the guy has nothing left in him. What a shame.

Oruma shld be between 36 and 40.
Kanu is definitely above 37.

Osaze is young. Remember he grew up in Europe.
Mikel is less than 30 but definely not 22.
Obodo should be abt 32.

Rashidi Yekini should be in his 50s.
Chrisantus Macaulay shd be abt 25.

Some Nigerian players are age cheat, Not all.

Still wondering how that old Yakubu could be younger than Osaze.

Osaze should be about the most honest of super eagles players.
