Is It Right For A Lady To Pop The Question?
« on: May 29, 2007, 01:34 PM »

Yinka is a beautiful 32yr old lady,working in one of the booming banks in Lagos. She has been finding it difficult to settle down with a man of choice because they all seem take-off after a while, one after the other.The more she tried to make any of her past lovers, try to ask for her hand in marriage,the more they moved farther away from her.

After about 6yrs of trying to do this, she now decided that she'll be the one to do the asking the next time.She met Dave 3months after and fell in love with him.They dated for close to 18months,she then felt it was high time they settled down and now asked him to marry her.Dave eventually accepted her proposal and they got married quietly.Now they are one hapy couple.

But, I think its biblically and morally wrong for a woman to propose.The man should do the finding and the proposing too

Or does Yinka's case work for everybody?

Not only would it sting my pride as a man, she also would come on as a desperado.

Not good for the lady to propose! Yinka must have been lucky(or the guy was having difficulty settling down too Huh)

@olunifemi

Yeah, desperately seeking to get married. So desperate she can't wait for the man.
Maybe it's because a woman grows old with age while a man grows with grace!!! (Explains why girls find older men attractive) Cool

Well, I feel its not right for the woman to do the asking. But U never can tell, May be She had the means to be the man, then She shld just take up being the bread winner, while the man turns the bride. Ladies are known to be reserved. That method may have worked 4 her but that doesnt make it the right approach! Unless the man is weakling!
