Mexicans In United States.

mexicans specifically or hispanics in general?  

they're both i guess  
but you can't say only hispanics and mexicans fit into that category.
most immigrants regardless of race (esp. those with little or no education) serve cheap labor and can't support themselves. but you can say that Hispanics are the largest group of immigrant
(hispanics are notorious (sp?) for having big families with 5-9 kids Lol. so they need welfare e.t.c to support their families.
and yeah. almost everywhere there's poverty, there's gang problems.
most live in the cities too. because they believe that's where opportunity is.
The United States is fiiled with optimistic people who believe that it's going to be better tomorrow even if they're in the worst condition today.

In the late 1800's it was the Irish, Jews e.t.c. they came to the US in waves and provided cheap labor (at that time the United States was in it's 2nd Industrial revolution i think  ) so they worked in factories e.t.c. they were also notorious for living in slums, inner cities e.t.c (that's where the word "ghetto" comes from i think "where the poor immigrant jews lived".
the chinese built railroads i know that because they were cheaper than whites, stronger and complained less.
today, most descendants of those Irish immigrants then are well off and pretty wealthy (at least the ones in my school are).

back to your question,
they are cheap labor because obviously, they'll recieve any pay no matter how small without complaining much like their white counterparts who'll hold workers union e.t.c and go on strike. they feel that as long as they're living more comfortablyr\ than they were in their respective countries of birth, they don't have to worry. all they do is work really hard.

and as i said, that gang problem is not uncommon in any area where there's poverty. even amongst the blacks it's there.

hispanics whose generations have lived in the United States for long don't suffer this problem though. it's mostly the recent immigrant generations that suffer it.
this applies to the irish groups too. today most irish, jews are well off and wealthy. then in the late 1800's, that wasn't the case.

and yeah. I know some are migrant workers too. this kind of sucks for the kids who have to move from place to place every few or so months or years. it doesn't help their education at all. some drop out to help their parents farm or do migrant work. (not all hispanics are migrant workers though. just a couple.

I really don't know what'll happen to the ecomomy if america was w/o hispanics for a day/year. i have no clue

Free your right o. its true what u are sayin. those hispanics work so hard each and everyday and i really pity them o but they have 2 do what they have 2 do in order 2 survive.but i feel u they do work very hard in this country.

I give yansh to mexicano's. Seriously they doo soo much that these americans themselves wont do.

They are exponentially growing over here in the south, I don't mind them, but when they commit all these hit and runs when they know they have no insurance, or have their kids making more kids, I really can't stand them,

And oh yeah, don't let me forget to mention how about 4 families live in one house and how they are constantly playing their music late at night with their coronas next to them, that makes me despise of them more,

If Nigeria shared the same border with the US, trust me Nigeria would not be a third world Country like Mexico. Nigerians are just to hard working and smart.

I don't care for Mexicans, but what kills me these days is; every time you call your utility company that stupid recording that comes on, for Spanish press one and for English press 2. People from other parts of the world come to America, and learn the language and don't get any special privileges, why should the Mexican or Latinos get that privilege.The Native American who own the Land don't even get such privileges.

I'm sorry but I just  hate it when people say I'm a minority in America that's why I'm poor or don't have a good paying job. I don't care if you from the Jungles of South America or the Deserts of Africa, you can achevie the American dream if you patient and work hard. Nigerians come to America and think the should have a piece of that pie because the have some degree from some University in Nigeria.

I agree to what Cutie say, you weren't born an American and even if you are your parent definitely ain't, could you imagine how many Nigerians would be down there if we were actually Mexico/Cuba, do you know the rate in which Nigerians pump into Libya through Sahara just because it's possible without the barrier of the Sea/sky, they deserve all what they are getting from America, a Yoruba proverb says "Eni To Ba Sun Mo ni Lan Jarunnpa Lu", someone out there please should translate  it to them wey no hear Yoruba as Girama no be my language (sorry ) lol
