Abap/4 SAP In Nigeria

Could anyone tell us the current state of SAP developers in Nigeria?
Does it worth to learn SAP and work with it in Nigeria?

SAP happens to be the next level in ERP software implementation world over and I believe that Nigeria is certainly not excluded.

Currently I know of close to 5 major SAP implementation in the country and all of them coming with their attending support services.
In fact quite a number of SAP consultants are being imported into the country from abroad even as some indigenous organisations are also building their own capacity in house.

So if you have the opportunity go for it.

This is encouraging, but how much would a Nigeria company pay a SAP developer or user? Any particular company you know that uses SAP

Which, particular suit of SAP application would someone focus in SAP regarding to Nigeria market i.e

1. Accounting
2. Production
3. Human Resource
4. Workflow

etc.

Which module is appropriate for Nigeria?

i have been working with SAP for up to 8 years, currently working in sweden with the big 4 mobile communications, well all depends on your background, if you come from a finance background, you could try FI CO ( financial and controlling) if you are from a sales perspective, then go for SD MM sales and distribution

SAP is still new in Nigeria eventhough there are clearly a few companies implementing the solution, typical SAP consultants earn a lot in europe and the Americas, all depends on your project experience, the top paid consultants can earn anything up to £500 an hour

In Nigeria, don't know what the rates are, it seems all the top implementation projects will probably need some foreign expertise, anything you need to know, feel free to ask

I could help anyone who is seeking materials on FIGL,FI-AA and CO, for free, its no big deal really, but i should note that SAP is a very robust applcation each module has its submodules, even the certified consultants can't boast of knowing it all.I have close to 2yrs working experience on SAP FICO module and i still learn new ways to configure stuff almost daily, invest in getting an IDES its about 50k, a laptop or external hard disk of like 200gb and your well on your way, being certified is one thing, delivering is another, all the best.I can be reached my e-mal akontetaylorharry@yahoo.com, no flashing please, lol

Rememeber, the best run companies, run SAP!

Hi All,

For a fresh graduate or anyone who wants to build a versatile career, Oracle Certifications are the way to go, all around the world there are more Oracle job opportunities than for SAP and from Facts and research we know that the TOP companies in the WORLD use Oracle, you can get certified in Technology Module, Database, apps server etc or go the way of applications, Oracle financial, HR, Siebel CRM.

You can get any information you need on the Oracle website, www.oracle.com.

Like I said earlier want a more versatile career, think of an oracle certification
