I've Decided To Forgive White People.

Well just as long as you make sure that he's responsible for this "mistake". It has always annoyed me on how most BA grandmothers would be the ones to take the burden of their young pregnant teens while they are left to continue in that wreckless way and such. "The baby's at my mom's" while they're out roaming the mall or whatever, such irritates me to no end. It's like fine, it's one thing to help out but it's another where it's the mother of the teen that is raising the "mistake" for him/her.

and i didnt mean just kick him out just that your comment about him being destined to have kids from various women all over and you just accepying them bothered me.

And remember in America, babies no matter how they got here are not abandoned by the government.

Thus if African American Grandmothers did NOT take their grandbabies. Those babies would just be shipped to a foster home and raised from foster home to foster home.

So each grandparent faces a choice when they get the news that their child has had a baby and doesn't want to take care of it. Allow the baby to go to the foster care or take care of their grandbaby theirselves.

Black Grandmothers have won the right to recieve the same funding that a foster parent would recieve for a child removed from his home by child protection.

Thus Black Grandmothers went from having recieved 200 to 500 dollars per month welfare for all 4 or 5 children, of their own.

To recieving for instance 620 per child per month for each grand child. Even if they adopt them.

So Black Grandmothers you be seeing with 4 or 5 or their grandchildren. My Brother's mother has raised 7 of her son's kids.


They be ahh, recieving 2000 to 5000 dollars every month depending on how many grandchildren they can raise.

That is how cynical I am. I believe the money is a big factor for Black Grandmothers raising their own grand children.

They do not mind at all. Like you think.

2 other factors that might help you, see it through their eyes.

Older Black woman and Black Children have traditionally been the poorest group in America. Because Black maids got no retirement plans or 401k's, so they had nothing for their children to inherit.

It's almost as if the crack epidemic (which was called a woman's drug) caused a little prospeirty to older Black women and the children they raised as the mothers had their babies taken for not taking care of them due to addiction.

It is kind of more than ironic that they got so little money for taking care of white folks kids but then got so much for finally sitting down and taking care of their own grand babies.

That's the damn PROBLEM. The fact that they don't mind.

If the teen KNEW that no one would ever bothered catering to their mess I seriously doubt they will continue to partake in such garbage. However they see the grandmother take in one, they figure well then I guess she wouldnt have a problem with me have another one and then another one. It doesnt take kids long to take advantage of things.

The fact that they even encourage this even more now because of govt money is disgusting.

stats or not Dru, I still see it around and it bothers me. Still see the 13 yr olds with the strollers screaming at their bfs to stop playing b-ball and buy food for the baby yada yada. I have a friend whose boyfriend didnt know his "sister" was actually his mother and his "mother" was actually his gradmother until like a few years back. I remember thinking that was the most demented thing I've ever heard.

when I was a teen(raised by my own grandmother then, well for the 7 years I was in  sec school in Nigeria anyway) I was too busy reading Nancy Drew & Sweet Valley High. Sheesh.

By the way. I absolutely loved Nancy Drew and the Hardy boys series as a child. I could read at 6 years old. I read the whole set, my sister had got it for Christmas.

However, the SweetValley series came after my time. I think. I have seen my own children with it but I don't remember it as clearly.

I'm confused about this, Dru. Were you considered "bad" and "rebellious" because you didnt have a baby as a teen or what do you mean?

and I loved the Hardy Boys and the Bobsey Twins and Judy Blume growing up! lol, that's what teens should be busy doing, READING dammit

I've never been white. My birth certificate says Black. Everybody around me told me I was black. My whole country tells me I am Black.

I would have to first create a white me and then forgive her.

And that is what I did.

God forced me to consider a person, white, female, born just the same day as me. What would she know more than me about why this world was so messed up, just because she got the good end of the stick and I did not?

She wouldn't know more than me. So I forgave her. This fictional white woman, just like me. And that is how the Lord forced me to repent of demonizing white people.

Their not all being evil, some of them is just waking up in ignorance. They deserve a chance to be saved.

My white 'friends' say that I am unfair in that I will not tell them how to stop being racists. I always tell them I do not care what white people do, I am focused on my people.

A long time ago, when I had hope I could be bothered with white people. So this probably means that I may bother to argue with them again.
