Which do you prefer, Nigerian Suya or American barbequed meat? I would pick suya probably anytime over barbeque, because it is more flavorful. The pepper and the spices, added to the slicked chunks of meat makes it more appetizing than barbeque. How I wish Nigerian dishes were popular in the USA.

Naija food is popular o, I stay in houston, whenever we go out to lick pepper soup come see oyinbo way full the place, acata dey, we dey even see chinese.

Abeg u can't compare the 2. They are not equal at all. What is is barbeque beef, Abeg a child can make that. Just pour barbQ sauce on it. Suya Beef and Chicken r work of Arts and delights, a complex and gift from heaven. i hate food that sugar is added to. so BBQ is really out! because brown sugar is added to the sauce  leaving me with mighty SUYAAAA, love suya big time and i make it myself eat with lots of yaji. wahala da godiya fa |

do you think those foreign based miss suya? think again at least not Omoge I don't miss suya because i prepare it myself with the yaji i made myself. now i have yaji sent to me by sweet mom and a good pal from Jos. i make it when i feel like eating it. BBQ, sigh it's good but the brown sugar added to the sauce spread on it wouldn't make me like it. |

My bro makes suya but not as often as i would like BBQ i like too but i would still choose my suya over BBQ anyday.
Omoge, i feel you, the whole sugar thing just doesn't do it for me so before eating it, i tend to soak it in vinegar to wash away the sugar
