The 43-years old American woman, who had traveled across Peru (South America), was sick with combined symptoms similar to typhoid fever or malaria for 3 weeks; now she is recovered completely.

Hmm, she recovered completely.  Implication: it's not deadly.  It's just another annoying statistic for doctors.
