Seperate holidays, for eg if your husband wants to go to a holiday resort filled with bars and clubs in Spain without you and this kids for a week because he wants to 'buy some handbags' what would you say?
If these 'trips away/weekends for supposed business' or football team weekends away to holland without you of course and were a regular occurence what would you say? would you mind?

Yes, I would mind a lot! You don't have to go to these places to buy handbags. Does he say you aren't allowed to go with him? I'D be very suspicious.
It's not a problem for couples to take separate holidays if there is a good reason for it. I go away twice a year without my boyfriend. Why? because one is a working holiday (camping in tents, working in the countryside all day) that I've been doing every year for 20 years but he is not interested in coming along to. The other is a weekend away at a music festival with my friends that we've been doing for years before I met him. He has been invited but again, he doesn't want to come. He knows where I am and what I am doing and why he isn't there with me.
But this situation is so different. There is no reason why he should go alone.
