anyone seen the trailer/preview of the movie "Phat Girlz" by monique (Nikki Parker) and Tuface's song " African Queen" was the song used for the trailer. The movie seems to be about how monique fell in love with Tunde Jonathan an african guy and she taught he was getting with her to obtain his green papers. Anyways made me proud to know that 2face is doing so well and his music is really spreading across the globe and the fact that nigerians are doing real good in the states. y'all keep doin what you do best.

I HATE YOU! Yes the person that started this thread.  I was going to start a thread like this. I went to see big mama's house 2 this weekend and i saw the commercial to Phat girlz. I was soo happy. Me and my friends screamed in the movies hall when they sang "african queen by 2face". We was like.. Yup yup.. that's nigeria.. Everyone was laughing it was amazing in the movie hall. I was looking for the movie website.. but it's not yet released.. that's why i didnt make this thread earlier. Like.. i was so happy when i saw the commercial.. it was funny. Like i was in love with 2face that minute. And the Tunde guy is HOTT! whewww.. |

I went to see the movie Something New (which was good by the way) and they showed a preview for Monique's new movie Phat Girlz. In the movie monique starts dating a man from Nigeria, but its so obvious the man is not really Nigerian  . Anyways in the background African Queen was playing. It was so weird that they were playing 2 face in an american movie. I'm telling you to face is doing big things for himself. Thatz what am talking about. I said this is the genevieve for hollywood thread. She can make it to hollywood if and if they are acting a movie that requires an african something in it..... like hotel rwanda is of africa and the main cast was african. other than that they will not include a pretty lady with an accent in their hollywood movie. the problem with nollywood actors and actresses will be accent. but they are good. Can u see that the tunde in the phat girls is till representing the african something they want. whatever.

I think also thiink that it is too much. do u know how much they even pay actresses on tv sitcoms not to talk about the few scenes in which they used his music. According to the washington post, they pay each desperate housewife about 30,000 dollars for season 1. just because the show was a big hit, they gave them a bonus of $1million each. now talk about Tuface, i don't think they will pay him that much.
