Design Engineers don't design the look or appearance of the vehicle. That is the job of the artists. All the engineer does is to make sre the vehicle is aerodynamically ready. Design isn't painting but innovation, orchestration, computation, protyping or better simplified product life cycle (PLM). Nigeria denotes it as Manufacting Engineering - a field of Mechanical Engineering. It's also a bunch of CAD, CAM, CAID and CAE. The United States call it Design Engineering and work closely with Industrial Engineering. I have a list of some of the ugliest cars on the road
I'll give the props to the Chrysler 300 without a doubt mirrored by the Charger.
The 2002 to 2007 Toyota Camry. In my opinion, the former reminds me of a speed boat and the latter is just ghetto (my personal opinion). I won't forget the ES330 (2002 to present). Somebody will have to explain how Toyota concluded on proving to enthusiasts how aerodynamic it'll boast of. A crap of unibody.
The 2005 BMW lineup. It appears cheaper and plain. It's just ugly.
Murano - a heap of sheetmetal.
All Cadillacs
Most cars they make today are just ugly but nothing stands out as the 300C.

These designs implies solidity. there is a 2000 and 2007 camry in the family so i know what I'm talking about. Also not all cadillacs are ugly. Also, Murano is a sleek ride for God's sake. I wonder what the car manufacturers will do to impress you. I know u can't buy a lamborghini or bugatti because I'm sure most of their cars will look ugly to you.(judging from ur taste. i guess) As for me, the ugliest car on the road is the first generation escalade and the hummer H1. H2 and H3 are still managable and the 2007 escalade is still ok just that it's a trailer(too big) |

What these cars are missing is a tail for a rotor and a horizontal rotor to overshadow the entire chassis (or unibody). They are basically helicopters and an impression of what I term decadence. The Camry, Corolla and Prius are just ugly. That includes it's cousins too. The Murano is just ugly and to my conclusion, a waste of sheet metal. Take a look from the door-stand point of view, a huge sheet of metal with a pee-size window. Then a 2 inch exaust made exagerated into a 5 inch exhaust pipe and worse, two of them. Civilian Hummers is just ridiculous. I am not into Lambos. I see them at least week and it doesn't intrigue me one bit. They are only as fast as some high performance vehicles on the road. To some people, this may be shocking. An Evo with a Lambo. Auto manufacturers know what's ideal to design. Greed is what makes them design this speed boats on wheels. Thegame, I'm a simple person and life to me is black or white. There is no gray. I agree with you that the Hummer is unneededly big. You wouldn't believe this - some people call the Camry and Accord a small car. Some term it as midsise. I guess it's categorised by how roomy it is. |

In other words, a life with a lot of disposible income. It's the american dream and many don't wake up till they pile piles upon piles of credit card or bank debt. It's a form of decadence. Nobody in his right mind goes to work and after 160 hours of labour time go to the store and buy a gucci bag for 599 Euro. You are either stealing, ain[t working clean or just dishonest. Buying a gucci bag is not the same as sound deadening your vehicle, so the impression I discern (if they are actually living the lie they tell) is they have their priorities messed up. I don't believe in credit cards nor financing because it makes everything or anything that isn't affordable readily affordable. It's decadence but despite decadence, I am certain that 100% of the inputs to that thread is plain front. |
