We are happier, among other reasons, IMHO because:
- for the most part, we don't live in a world of weekly bills
- for the most part, we pay for everything in cash - no credit cards or loans
- Our lives aren't ruled in terms of what we can produce per hour
- we have both christian and muslim holidays, which means we probably have the equivalent of 2 months off a year
- Our maternity leave lasts at least 6 months and not 3 (unpaid) months as it is in the US

Most govt organizations in England give 9months paid maternity leave plus paternity leave and there are quite a few bank holidays as well (definitely not less than we have in naija) and they are still arguably the most miserable people in the world. |
