I have seen a case like this. This occurs when the file type association have been changed(manually
or via a virus' action). I got around this by editing some registry entries. A little hectic task.
On Windows vista, its been reported that "WINAce" causes this.(Still waiting on a hotfix from
Microsoft.
To fix this,
1. Check this link out:
FileType Association Fix2. Perform a system restore to a point where everything was working fine. (It's too much for such
a trivial case. Use as a last resort only).
