Hmmm, sound good about trying to visit Ivory coast, Togo, and Benin republic !

Hmmm, let's travel all West Africa on the Altantic ocean where Slavery took place 400 years ago. I love history, wild life animals, and sightseeing with my worldwide lifetime vacation resort condo membership.

I just found out but i forgot all about it since the movie "Roots" that took place in Gambia, Africa. I personally met the author, Alex Haley as surprise guest speaker in my high school's Black History Month 20 years ago before his death. I was his introduction speaker at my school. I will never forget what I took by surprise---my social study (history) teachers had been keep secret all along and chose me doing introduction speaker and biography story about "Marcus Garvey".

As of yesterday, I bumped into new naija friend asking this person where he/she is from, saying Gambia. I researched on wikipedia that's where I discovered and forgot about Alex Haley for a long time. Alex's family generation had traced back to Gambia---that's why he wrote a book, later was made in movie.

Lol @ Babeelove: Stepmum? Most folk on here know I don't respond to taunts or jibes. I don't taunt my fellow Nairalanders either. Still, I guess your ability to shock, makes you popular, and oddly loveable. So, if trying to hurt me makes you feel happy, then carry on!

The Cape verde island is a place to visit.

In all the islands, however, is a fascinating mixture of African and European custom and conduct. This is best reflected in the foods on offer, with Portuguese foods (such as fish- and seafood-based dishes, olive oil, garlic, lemon and sausage) and African foods (stews, beans, maize ) comfortably combined on most menus.

I met a few Nigerians there. The island is full with festivals and entertainment. There are lots of pretty girls and sceneries.

Swedeen is another place to visit, i was opportuned to go for a volunteer program in the city of Malmo.I enjoyed myself  for 14 days.i met few africans but never met a Nigerian.
I later learnt one of the guys i travelled with is a Nigerian but carrying a Seychelles Passport.

South Africa another place to visit, you will meet lots of Nigerians in Pretoria, jo'borg and other interior towns.
Even in swaziland which is part of south africa, there are so many Nigerians who shuttle sa to swaziland, life there is not as hectic as  south africa, these places are wonderful places.

But in all sincerity i have all  always loved Nigeria and it is the place to be.

Its good to travel and see some of these wonderful places but am sure home is stil home

I can 't say maybe if i i visit places like canada i might never come back for a long while , time will tell

I want to believe that the purpose of the thread is to share the experience of varied and diverse places across the globe, what they are truly like, in other words your personnel down low on these places.

NIGERIA; Warri- every single village in Isoko, plus Eku, Abraka, Agbaro,Agbarotor, Orokpokpo, Orogun, Imodje, Kokori, Okpara inland & Waterside, Ogonu, etc ,etc,– Sapele – Benin-City (every town hamlet in Edo state numerous villages.) Every state capital in the east, most of the West and Kaduna, Abuja, Makurdi, Gboko, etc.

Europe-Scotland, Wales, Belgium, France, Holland, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Refused to go to Italy (negative vibes)

Africa; Egypt. Asia;India, Qatar. Americas; -- USA.

So now I can ask questions, can somebody tell me what Italy is truly like away from the tourist tracks, walks and sites, what’s it like for someone who is not white. I might just decide to visit. Finally anybody been to Mauritania and Senegal?
