just built a personal site n i have serious probs uploading the site
i have tried dreamweaver n it does not connect to the remote server @ all
with frontpage it connects but does not upload
please if any one know the solution pls let me know
or if its coz of the hosting site, give me another good free hosting site with at least 50MB hosting space.

Did you pay for hosting or do you want a free hosting service? If you want a free host, you can try Yahoo Geocities: http://www.yahoo.com/geocities. If you paid to a Web host, I believe they would give you and ftp password and the domain you're to transfer files to. you can then download an FTP program and use it to upload your files. You may like Filezilla(which is free by the way) download it from: http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/. Have fun. |

are you sure u are uploading in the right place?
what folder do you upload to?
how do you connect with dreamweaver?
list these thing so we can know where you need help.
and i think dreamweaver is better for uploading than frontpage.

well actually i just sis the the hosting company told me to. putting the ftp address: abohrandy.***.com and for the folder they told me to just add a slash behind the ftp. my dreamwaever won't get there i tot it was a firewall prob but its not. frontpage reached there but could not do as sent to. well there could be a pro with the address coz when it it is signing in, i c sth like this ftp://abohrandy.***.com/abohrandy.***.com/ so i don't code the wazup. |

when using dreamweaver, you ftp address is ftp.youwebaddress.com
for example ftp.google.com

Even free host accept FTP just like awardspace i guess he doesn't know what his doing try awardspace and see cos they allow u to use thier FTP. have hosted with awardspace before free hosting ooo
