Who told you so? is it because of the gra gra that lagosians like to do that makes you think its the worst state in nigeria? you better think twice, lagos is more peaceful than any other states in Nigeria, Its not Niger delta, neither is it the northern religious war ground.

The reason people come to Lagos is because there are two sides to Lagos, this Thread only shows one side.
When people come to Lagos, they are effectively gambling, it's like roulette in a Casino, you can win or lose. It is effectively a Push and Pull factor at work.

lol that na real gutter. wetin we no go find for inside that gully and people lived closed to that eh. there used to be a place we lived with something closed to that. water from bathroom all flow pass am and it flowed to a small stream people will fetch water from. my dad will be the only one working it, shoveling, moving, etc for at least to allow water to flow. neighbors will just hang around and watch . everyone will enjoy the flow until short time as dad isn't always around. when he gets back he clean up again just because of us. now i wonder who will clean that gutter there, what a sight and mosquitoes in there!

With the possible exception of Abuja, gutters similar to the one in the above picture line EVERY road in EVERY city in Nigeria, and foreign visitors do step into open sewers while distracted momentarily from scanning for man-traps as they walk along the street in anytown Nigeria.
Till date there has never been a single lawsuit directed at a Nigerian city's municipal authority demanding compensation for injuries sustained as a result of falling into an unmarked 3-foot or deeper concrete drainage trench.
Underground sewage and drainage systems DO NOT EXIST in Nigeria now, and none are scheduled for construction.

Obviously, a naija (lagos) bashing thread, but to the immediate poster ^^^^^^, tis not true that there are no sewage or underground drainages in Nigeria (or even Lagos). Most new estates in Lagos come with sewage and waste water collection systems. I do however agree that not a whole lot is being done at the municipal level but all that will come in time.

Nobody is denying that infrastructure is bad in Nigeria, but exaggerating the truth is simply pathetic. Nigeria is having an estate boom, and 90% of the New Housing estates have underground sewage, 24 Hour electricity etc. Infrastructure in Nigerian cities is bad, but if you go around Nigeria today, you'll see that things are rapidly changing. Just go for a visit to Broad Street in Lagos, the place is improving by the minute. Nobody is denying that Lagos is bad, but saying that all of Lagos is bad and this is the "real Lagos" is quite disturbing. Is there so much Poverty in Africa, that people now crave it. It's ridiculous. I see people on this thread, enjoying pictures of Sewers and saying this is Nigeria. The problem is not with the government, but with the mentality of common Nigerians. Last I checked, this is a free forum. I'll leave yall to it. Enjoy your Faeces Panoramas.

well this is just the tip of the iceberg, the best things that are said on this forum is negative things about Nigeria and Africa as a whole, do you think you preaching and saying bad things about Africa and Nigeria is going to change anything? you are just here to air what you have inside of you, thats all, that won't change anything or tell the government to change, Its action that counts not this mouth washing stuff you guys do all,

Yoruba people says - it is a bastard that points to his fathers house with the left hand - these people are bastards - no identity - not wanted overseas because of their colour - indeed not wanted in Nigeria because of their stupidity.

Let us all step through the looking glass and pretend that open gutters full of green water and flotsam simply do not exist in Nigeria, for all who choose not to notice them lining every roadside in the country, provided of course that such selective observers do not fall into said gutters while desperately trying to avoid seeing them.
Let these words guide us from here on out : "Reality is a crutch for those who cannot handle delusions."
