i read a book similar to this while i was in secondary school titled delivered from the power of darkness, i wouldn't really know how true the story was but all i know is there is a spiritual realm and things really happen.
Only God can save us but to the poster don't believe too much in those tales. If you have Jesus and you hold strongly unto him no demon can over power you, for HE that is in you is greater than he that is in the world.

i read that book too as a very young teenager some years back. it was a bit scary reading it but i doubted every ounce of it especially the mermaid thing. ignorant is what is eating us deep in our african society. i said african society because so many funny things eg sleep with a day old baby and be cured of AID. I want to say that for everything that happens on earth, devil will always have a counterfeit. Anything can happen, both for hair products and the likes even the food we eat. I once heard about a bread made under waters.
I have this habit of saying a little prayer (not loud, just inside) before i use any new thing i buy, hey i am not a fanatic.
