For Tipsydude and anyone else interested in becoming a master in the capital market i recommend this magazine to you, its called 'Smart investor'. its a must read for anyone who wants to be on top in investments.
This magazine does not deal with the capital market alone it also opens the eyes of investors and potential investors to the enormous investment opportunities in Nigeria. its written in plain simple English.
You can also learn how to analyse stocks and companies by yourself, read and interpret company results, know when a stock is overvalued or undervalued so you would know when to buy or sell, you should get a copy its rich i tell you.
Also, may i add that you do not really need millions to begin investing. Whatever you have now you can start with it. Let me share an experience with you. I attended a seminar on financial planning some months back, there a lady tolds us how she bought 200 (two hundred) units of first bank shares about 12 years ago after much persuasion from a friend. At the time of that seminar in April those shares were worth over 2.4 million. why? she didnt sell, she kept them so her bonuses and dividend just kept adding till it reached that amount she didnt even buy more. there is more to investing than just buying stocks, there are many other amazing opprtunities that can give you superior returns.

Hi there, new to this forum. I'm a relatively new investor, and I'm highly interested in actively trading in penny stocks. I discovered STACO a couple of weeks ago and asked my broker to try to purchase it but so far they have been unsuccessful. My broker is recommending I go for the Access Bank offer instead. Should I abandon it? I really feel like STACO could appreciate by up to 400% or more within the next year based on what I've seen in their reports, but it seems like I'm not going to be able to find a seller.

You are right. STACO is pretty difficult to buy now. I instructed my brokers to buy 75000 units today but they were only able to get 50,000 units instead. i believe th stock is a hot one. I dont know the intrigues that play on the floor but for on to b able to get and the other not get implies something i guess. |

Cgift Pls who is your broker? Because I gave my broker 500k since last week Monday to buy STACO for me and till today she is still telling me the same old story that it's impossible to get the stock. Same happen to FOOTWARE and CONTINENTAL RE-INS since more than 3 weeks. Men! I got to fire my broker |

gochi hello im really impressed with your analysis of the stock market im just coming to this site for the first time i usually just check the jobs area then i leave but you really blow my mind like you im also an investor though i inherited most of it.well i just want u to know that i support that idae of dealin in secondary market for instance look at cutix(i hope u have cutix) but my gratest mistake is not buyin into bank phb when it was under N5 i.e last year but as at augus1 when i went to my broker i was amazed to see that it is now N30.while i was still anoyed wit myself i went for access bank AGM on thursady at lagoon and the stupid bank is selling its offer at N14 this is a bank i bought at N8 on the floor last year.hey lets get in touch i will like to discuss some things wit you.and to everybody that has contributed to this discuss keep on believing in nigeria

The bank PHB thing is really annoying. I didnt do it too when it was cheap. im doing Access in 2 weeks time. Hope Dangote comes out quick, ASL also.

Surprisingly, lots of dese stock brokers have high minimum joining fees, i thought d market was meant to be open to everyone???
