@HYBRID-X

when i found God with the flow and had to cross over frm secular to gospel,it wasnt easy 4 me 2 spit.But as i discovered more about God and myself through the scriptures,it became a part of me.Truth is,u can't give what u dnt have! I am nice with the flow as a gospel rapper simply because i express my thoughts and beliefs through a language called hip hop.Thats all rap is about : expressin who u are through the musik!

There gospel rap is not a style u switch to(nah).Its a nature u have finding expression through a medium called hip hop.

Be yourself son and be fly with it!

 When u find God with the flow,hola @ your boy,there's room in God's lyricist lounge 4 all of us.One Love,One God,One Way!

before i spit,am'r make it clear on this thread

need no record deal BEFORE I BRAKE BREAD

plus rap was the last course on my meal/

indeed,my tenacity got me spitting the illest vocabulary u ever heard or seen/

display my awards on screen like channels tv

with the mic in ma hands

pledge to spit the truth the best i can

so help me God ,beleive me this aint no hard core

ENCORE!this cold war's about to get heated

from coast to coast am  top seeded

grounded in his love,to his call i heeded

am riding with the Lord,i suggest u'all come on board

of course,we battle not against flesh and blood

the unseen rules the seen,eyes still can't see the

metaphisical scenery,so men in sin blinded spiritualy

we all condemed to eternal misery,if u got ears hope u listening----

---by reading this,am a new creature by accepting him

soring with wings of angels,putting the world behind of me

walked on water before i drowned,stretched fort n grabed his arm

the testamant of pilgrim sojourning in a foriegn land

@HYBRID-X
yeah! I see u kept it movin/im kind of pleased/ma man's improving/keep putting it down/for the gospel movement!

Mic Check:

its the rap prophet/on a solitary beat/
just me,God & the Mic/on a planetary trip!

I stay time travelling/through a hole in the ozone/
escape the gun-battling/on earth,its a war zone!

A lotta young souljaz/fall victim 2 the streetz/
gurlz die of abortionz/blood leaking through the sheets!

So i had 2 split/on this planetary trip/
just me,God & the Mic/on a solitary beat!

I pumped life into the muzik/and made it therapeautic/
till it became a vivrant thing/without a Q-tip!

Tried to save the hood/but they trippin off bling bling/
always playing me like/gospel rap aint the in thing!

Thats why i stay banging/on a solitary beat/
Rapsody & HYBRID-X/we are a military breed! Dig?

@HYBRID-X
nah,the album is still under process.Ive got the whole CD on paper but i need green paper to put it on wax!(capish?)

Been trying to hook up with ill producers who can bless it with banging beats.Until the album becomes official,its back to my 9-5 job!

Got a single out though but im having challenges getting it into circulation.

Its only a matter of time before i see the sunshine(Lord Willing!).

@sharn06
(scratching his dome) ermh,
Good poetry but i wouldnt say i got the message.Some more explicit rhyming wouldnt be a bad idea!
Nice one though.Keep it coming.

@Jduck13
where u been son? Kinda missed havin u around(nappy headed boy!).Kick them fly lyricz and let the most high feel it!

@wordsmith
u dnt need a shrink to tell u hw mentally ill u is/because fundamentally u rock/keep doin your biz!

@HYBRID-X
Errbody knowz my position on rap battlez.I acknowledge it as been an aspect of the hip hop sub-culture since KRS-One Vs MC Shan,but that don't mean i accept it as a God-Emcee. I believe it creates more acrimony than amusement.I'll rather write rhymez that stimulate positive thinking and increase your level of God-Conciousness! Some say its a harmless sport but ive seen the results even here on Nairaland.

Just for the record,i think u damaged some emceez on that thread! But as for Wordsmith,yall still battling.So,the outcome will determine who gets outdone!

Nuff said without bloodshed.

@RAPSODY

your place of work is around alausa ikeja right?
drove past a building (the name sounded like where u working)

as per where i stand on "battle raps" i don't see any reason to creat acrimony or animosity.i am a peacefull brother who loves to exercise my rap skills,believe me man i think battle raps brings the best lines in u,a way of keeping fit lyrically,diss me nicely and i hit my music factory, me cooking up beef ,,,,,never that,i aint no chef

peace man

Who am I?
Your friend, the one on which you depend
Who am I?
I'm your enemy till the very end
Who am I?
I'm a nobody, to you i'm like air
or I'm somebody, anybody, don't know why i'm here
Who am I?

I am Somze but to some people I'm Kay
in real life I seem like normal but in these lines I'm disdained
and lately I just decided to keep these rhymes unprofaned
without vanity or swear swords, just truth in simple and plain
sometimes I sit and I wonder about the bother in life
am I just here to get beat up and get kicked around by strife?
and to live just to leave or to live just to fight?
I mean what is it i'm fighting for and just what is my plight?
Sometimes I feel so down under
that i start praying for a wonder
I wish I could snap my fingers and get away from the thunder
and this bread could cure ma hunger
and maybe make me grow younger
so i could go back and undo my wrongs before i'm no longer
what really can this world give me that I can take into death?
how everlasting is the pleasure and the leisure of wealth?
If my sins say God doesn't exist how deadly can this be
in the end, when i come into terms with who really is me

Who am I?
Your friend, the one on which you depend
Who am I?
I'm your enemy till the very end
Who am I?
I'm a nobody, to you i'm like air
or I'm somebody, anybody, don't know why i'm here
Who am I?

Guys,ive been in transit all my life! Indigene of Lagos,raised and schooled in Kaduna,served at Bauchi,spent time at Jos,Makurdi,Yola and Abuja. Came back to my home state and settled at Ijanikin where i hooked up with my church. Got a 9 - 5 job at ikeja and had to relocate to Isolo. Next destination unknown.
