Lanre Fasasi also known as Sound Sultan a.k.a Naija Ninja may not have sliced so hard with his sophomore album ‘Text book’ if compared to his breakthrough effort - ‘Kpsssheeew’ (sound of frustration) that had the laudable single - ‘Jagbajantis’. Yet Sultan is not relenting on his effort as he will be unveiling his latest album on the 7th of July 2007 which also doubles as his 7th year on stage. The Naija Ninja’s first single from the ternion opus is already basking massive air play radio stations-wide. This album features Sultan in his demeanour, expressing his versatility from different dimensions yet not leaving out his usual message of political uprightness, love and encouragement. ‘Naija 007’ will be Sultan’s second album on Kennis Music. His first album on the respected label did not make much an impact as far as sales turn out is concerned. For an artiste like Sultan who’s respected for his thought provoking lyrics and messages one cannot but wonder what would have gone down. Speaking with him he points out that the lack of structural planning and promotion of his previous album may have been the cause for the low turn up of his first album. He professed cordiality with Kennis Music against speculations that he was having issues with them.
